Marga Legal (18 February 1908 – 30 October 2001) was a German actress. [1] She is the daughter of actor Ernst Legal and appeared in more than one hundred films from 1952 to 2001.
Ernst Otto Eduard Legal was a German actor and opera director of Berlin State Opera.

DEFA was the state-owned film studio of the German Democratic Republic throughout the country's existence.
Hans Weingartner is an author, director and producer of films. Born in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg, he attended the Austrian Association of Cinematography in Vienna and earned a diploma as a camera assistant. Later, he studied film at the Academy of Media Arts KHM in Cologne, Germany. He also has studied neuroscience at the University of Vienna and graduated from the neurosurgical department at the Free University of Berlin’s Steglitz Clinic.
Trace of Stones is a 1966 East German film by Frank Beyer. It was based on the eponymous novel by Erik Neutsch and starred Manfred Krug in the main role. After its release, the film was shown only for a few days, before being shelved due to conflicts with the Socialist Unity Party, the ruling communist party in the German Democratic Republic. Only after 23 years was the film shown again, in November 1989.
Her Third is a 1972 East German film directed by Egon Günther and starring Jutta Hoffmann, Barbara Dittus, Rolf Ludwig and Armin Mueller-Stahl. The film is based on the short story Unter den Bäumen regnet es zweimal by Eberhard Panitz and tells the story of the single mother Margit looking for a new partner. The film was produced in 1971 by the DEFA film studio and premiered on 16 March, 1972 in East Berlin.

Zwei Mütter is a 1957 East German film directed by Frank Beyer and based on a screenplay by Leonie Ossowski. The film was Frank Beyer's graduation film at the Film School of the Academy of Performing Arts (FAMU) in Prague. The film tells the story of two women, one French and the other German, who fight for a child who has been mistakenly taken by the Germans after a bomb raid. The film had a theatrical release and became a popular success with more than two million tickets sold in East Germany, but was also criticized for "lack of a stance" and "bourgeois pacifism".

These films were noted for their strong criticism of consumer culture in Berlin after World War II and the Americanization of the capital and are amongst DEFA's best known films.
