Mariana Simeanu (born 15 August 1964) is a Romanian middle-distance runner who competed in the 800 metres. Her sole international achievement was a bronze medal at the 1985 IAAF World Indoor Games, held in Paris. Her personal bests for the distance were 2:02.41 minutes outdoors, set in Rome on 31 August 1984 and 2:05.51 minutes indoors, set during her medal win. [1] [2] [3]
Meseret Defar Tola is an Ethiopian long-distance runner who competes chiefly in the 3000 metres and 5000 metres events. She has won medals at top-tier international competitions including Olympic and World Championship gold medals over 5000 metres. She broke the world record in the event in 2006, broke it again in 2007 and held it until 2008, when fellow Ethiopian Tirunesh Dibaba beat her time.

Uceny won three national championships and was the 2011 IAAF Diamond League Champion at 1500 meters. Ayanleh Souleiman, also known as Hassan Ayanleh is a Djiboutian middle distance runner who specialises in the 1500 metres. He is the Djiboutian record holder for the distance, with his best of 3:29.58 minutes, as well as being the 3000 metres holder with 7:42.22 minutes. He also holds the indoor world record for the 1000-meter which he achieved at the 2016 Globengalan event in Stockholm Sweden. He also set a new IAAF Diamond League record at the IAAF Diamond League in August 2016 in the men's 1000 meters
