The Maribor Slovene National Theatre (SNG Maribor) is a theatre in Maribor, northeastern Slovenia. Its performances of drama, opera, and ballet annually attract the country's largest theatrical audiences.

The theatre regularly hosts the Ljubljana Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet. In January 2012 performances of Marij Kogoj's opera Black Masks were scheduled.

The Ljubljana Opera House is an opera house in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. It stands at 1 Župančič Street between the Slovenian Parliament building, on one hand, and the National Museum and the National Gallery, on the other hand.

Lent Festival

The Lent International Summer Festival is a major arts festival held for approximately two weeks at the end of June annually in Maribor, Slovenia. Organized by the Narodni dom Cultural Center every year the festival attracts theatre, opera, ballet performers, classical, modern, and jazz musicians and dancers from all over the world as well as visitors. There are also mimes, magicians, and acrobats performing during the festival.

Polona Juh is a Slovenian actress. She is the daughter of the Slovenian actors Mojca Ribič and Boris Juh. After finishing her studies at High School for Ballet, she entered to study acting at the Academy for Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, where she graduated. Since 1995, she is a permanent member of Slovenian National Theatre Drama in Ljubljana.

Marjan Kozina

Marjan Kozina was a Slovene composer. He is considered one of the most important Slovene composers of the 20th century. His best known works include a symphony, composed in stages through the late 1940s; the opera Equinox, completed in 1943; two ballets from the early 1950s, and the music for the film On Own Land, which he later arranged into a suite for orchestra.

Ljubljana Slovene National Theatre Drama

The Ljubljana Slovene National Theatre Drama, or the Slovene National Theatre Drama in Ljubljana, is the national theatre in Ljubljana, Slovenia, best known for its conservative repertoire, including classical European dramatic texts and selected contemporary non-commercial European and Slovene ones. Its seat is the Ljubljana Drama Theatre to the southeast of the Slovene Museum of Natural History and southwest of the University of Ljubljana, at 1 Erjavec Street. It is an Art Nouveau building originally of the city's German Theatre.

Ljubljana City Theatre is the second theatre building and company of Ljubljana after the Ljubljana branch of the Slovene National Theatre.

Ljubljana Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet

The Ljubljana Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet, or shortly Ljubljana SNG Opera and Ballet, is Slovenia's national opera and ballet company. Its seat is the Ljubljana Opera House at 1 Župančič Street in Ljubljana. The Ljubljana Slovene National Theatre Opera and Ballet was founded in 1918. It is now a subsection of the Slovene National Drama Theatre in Ljubljana (Slovensko narodno gledališče and has about 50 dancers. Since 2013, its director has been the lawyer Peter Sotošek Štular, and its artistic director the opera stage director Rocc.

Edward Clug is an international renowned choreographer in the field of contemporary ballet and a director of Maribor Ballet. Clug studied classical ballet in Cluj-Napoca.
