Hokejsko drsalni klub Maribor or simply HDK Maribor, also named Lisjaki (English: The Foxes), is an ice hockey club from Maribor, Slovenia. Established in 1993, they play their home matches at the Tabor Ice Hall. [1]

Ljudski vrt is a football stadium in Maribor, Slovenia, which has a seating capacity of 11,709. It has been the home of NK Maribor since their formation in 1960, with the exception of a short period in early 1961. It was originally the home of several other football teams based in Maribor, including Rapid and Branik. A prominent feature of the stadium is the main grandstand with a concrete arch, which is protected by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia as an architectural and historical landmark.

Jan Muršak is a professional Slovenian ice hockey player for Frölunda HC of the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). Muršak first played hockey in Slovenia as a member of HDK Maribor before he left to spend one season in the Czech junior league. He was then selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft and moved to the major junior Ontario Hockey League (OHL) and played for two teams, the Saginaw Spirit and Belleville Bulls. After finishing his junior career Muršak then joined the Red Wings American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins in 2008.

Rokometni klub Maribor Branik, commonly referred to as RK Maribor Branik or simply Branik, is a handball club from Maribor, Slovenia. As of the 2023–24 season, the club competes in the Second National League, the third tier of Slovenian handball. They play their home games at Tabor Hall, a 3,261 capacity multi-purpose sports venue in Maribor. Between 2004 and 2010, the team was known as RK Klima Petek Maribor due to sponsorship reasons. Their biggest success is reaching the final of the Slovenian Handball Cup twice and reaching the quarter-finals of the EHF Cup in the 2012–13 season.

Hokejski klub Olimpija, currently named HK Slovenske železnice Olimpija due to sponsorship reasons, is a professional ice hockey club from Ljubljana, Slovenia. The club competes in the ICE Hockey League and the Slovenian Championship. Founded in 2004 as a farm team of HDD Olimpija, the club turned professional in 2017 after HDD Olimpija folded. Olimpija won the Slovenian Championship three times, in 2019, 2022 and 2023, and the Alps Hockey League twice, in 2019 and 2021. Olimpija play their home games at Tivoli Hall.

Tomaž Murko is a former Slovenian football goalkeeper. During most of his career, he was a member of Maribor, where he played during the 1990s and 2000s and has made 130 league appearances for the club. With Maribor, he has won seven Slovenian championships and three Slovenian cups.

The 2013–14 Inter-National League season was the second season of the Inter-National League, a multi-national ice hockey league consisting of teams from Austria and Slovenia. The league contained 16 teams. The league's top scorer was Dylan Stanley.

Sportklub Rote Elf, commonly referred to as SK Rote Elf or SK Rdeča 11 in the Slovene-language newspapers, was a football club from Maribor. The club was founded in 1919 and competed in the first official season of the Slovenian football, the 1920 Ljubljana Subassociation League. It was renamed to MAK in 1921, before disbanding in 1923.

Founded in 1945, the club has won the national championship three times and the Slovenian national cup four times.
