The controversial nature of his work has resulted in the banning of his work in Cuba, although it has also suffered censorship in Argentina, Belarus, Morocco, and Beirut. The today Technological University José Antonio Echeverría, in its beginnings the University City José Antonio Echeverría (CUJAE), whose old acronyms are still used for its popular recognition.
