The International Skating Union (ISU) is the international governing body for competitive ice skating disciplines, including figure skating, synchronized skating, speed skating, and short track speed skating. It was founded in Scheveningen, Netherlands, in July 1892, making it one of the oldest international sport federations. The ISU was formed to establish standardized international rules and regulations for the skating disciplines it governs, and to organize international competitions in these disciplines. It is now based in Lausanne, Switzerland.
Alexander (Sasha) Viacheslavovich Zhulin is a Russian ice dancing coach and former competitor. With Maya Usova, he is a two-time Olympic medalist, the 1993 World champion, and the 1993 European champion. They also won gold medals at Skate America, NHK Trophy, Nations Cup, and Winter Universiade. They represented the Soviet Union, the Unified Team, and Russia.

Her best ISU Championship result was 15th, which she achieved at the 2002 Junior Worlds and 2005 Europeans.
Gheorghe Chiper is a Romanian former competitive figure skater. He is an eight-time Romanian national champion and competed at two Olympic Games. He is the first Romanian skater to win a medal on the Grand Prix circuit and the first Romanian to land a quadruple toe loop in competition.
Zoltán Kelemen is a Romanian former competitive figure skater. He is an eight-time Romanian national champion. He qualified for the free skate at the 2014 Winter Olympics, the 2014 World Championships, five European Championships, and two World Junior Championships.
Cornel Gheorghe is a Romanian figure skating coach and former competitor. He competed at the 1994 Winter Olympics, where he placed 14th, and at the 1998 Winter Olympics, where he placed 21st.
Pasquale Camerlengo is an Italian former competitive ice dancer who is now a coach and choreographer. With Stefania Calegari, he won gold medals at Skate America, Skate Canada, and the International de Paris, and placed fifth at the 1992 Winter Olympics. Camerlengo later competed with Diane Gerencser, placing 17th at the 1998 Winter Olympics.
Myriam Leuenberger is a Swiss former competitive figure skater. She is the 2014 Coupe du Printemps bronze medalist and a three-time Swiss national medalist. At the 2012 European Championships, she qualified to the final segment and finished 21st overall. The Coupe du Printemps in March 2014 was her final international competition. She was coached by Mark Pepperday and Gheorghe Chiper.
The 1989–90 season was FC Dinamo București's 41st season in Divizia A. In this season, Dinamo made the double, stopping Steaua's supremacy in Romania. In Europe, Dinamo reached the semifinals of the Cup Winners' Cup, where it is defeated by Anderlecht. It was a special season because of the Romanian Revolution of 1989. Dinamo dominated the first half of the season, winning the derby with Steaua, 3–0, on its ground. It was the first defeat for Steaua in the Romanian championship after 104 consecutive games. In the winter break, after the Revolution, Dinamo suffered administrative changes, for a few days having a different name – Unirea Tricolor.
The 1991–92 season was FC Dinamo București's 43rd season in Divizia A. The year 1992 brings the 14th Divizia A title in history. Dinamo dominated the season from start to finish and ended without a single loss. The newcomers Gábor Gerstenmájer and Albanian Sulejman Demollari made an instant impact, scoring together 39 goals in league only. The technical staff was formed from Florin Halagian – head coach, Viorel Hizo and Florin Cheran – assistants, and Dutch Rinus Israel – technical director.
Alexia Paganini is a Swiss-American figure skater who currently represents Switzerland in ladies' singles. She is the 2020 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, the 2018 Halloween Cup champion, the 2017 Slovenia Open champion, and a four-time Swiss national champion.
