The Romanian Figure Skating Championships are held annually to crown the national champions of Romania. Skaters compete in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance at the senior, junior, and novice levels, although not every discipline is held every year due to a lack of participants.
Since 1999, the Romanian Championships have been held in conjunction with the Crystal Skate of Romania. In 2023, the Romanian Championships were held in conjunction with the 2023 EduSport Trophy. [1]

Sport Club Municipal Râmnicu Vâlcea, commonly known as SCM Râmnicu Vâlcea or Râmnicu Vâlcea, is a Romanian football team from Râmnicu Vâlcea, Vâlcea County. Clubul Sportiv Municipal București, also known as CSM București, CSM or CSM Bucharest, is a professional women's handball team based in Bucharest, Romania, that competes in the Liga Naţională and the EHF Women's Champions League. Founded in 2007, the club has traditionally worn a blue kit since inception. The team has played its home matches in the 5,300-capacity Polyvalent Hall in the Tineretului Park in southern Bucharest. CSM București established itself as a major force in both Romanian and European handball in the late 2010s, winning EHF Champions League in its debut season and reaching the Final Four three consecutive times. This success was replicated in the league, where the club won four consecutive times. The official CSM mascot is a "tiger". CSM Bucharest is one of the most widely supported handball clubs in Romania.

The 2017–18 Liga IV was the 76th season of the Liga IV, the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system. The champions of each county association play against one from a neighboring county in a playoff to gain promotion. From this season the counties were divided into 7 regions, each consisting of 6 counties and the draw was made on 28 February 2018, with 3 months and a half before the first matches.
Irina Bulmaga is a Moldovan-born Romanian chess player. She received the FIDE titles of Woman Grandmaster (WGM) in 2012 and International Master (IM) in 2013.
Nicolae "Coco" Dumitrescu was a Romanian footballer and manager. As a footballer, he played mainly as a forward and throughout his career, he won four Divizia A titles and two cups with ITA Arad and as a manager, he won two titles with the same team, also in the 1970–71 European Cup season they eliminated Feyenoord who were European champions at that time and for these performances he is considered a symbol of the club.

Aurora Cotop is a retired Canadian figure skater. She is the 2019 Bavarian Open bronze medalist and 2019 Canadian national silver medalist. Earlier in her career, she won the junior ladies' title at the 2017 Canadian Championships and competed in the final segment at the 2018 World Junior Championships.

Vlad-Ștefan Stancu is a Romanian competitive swimmer. He is the Romanian record holder in the long course 1500-metre freestyle and long course and short course 800-metre freestyle. At the 2022 World Junior Championships, he won the silver medal in the 400-metre freestyle and bronze medals in the 800-metre freestyle and the 1500-metre freestyle. At the 2022 European Junior Swimming Championships, he won gold medals in the 1500-metre freestyle and 4×100-metre freestyle relay and silver medals in the 400-metre freestyle and 800-metre freestyle.
Patrick Sebastian Dinu is a Romanian competitive swimmer specializing in sprint freestyle events. At the 2022 World Junior Championships, he won a gold medal in the 4×100-metre freestyle relay, a silver medal in the 4×100-metre mixed freestyle relay, and placed fifth in the final of the 100-metre freestyle. He is a gold medalist in the 4×100-metre freestyle relay at the European Junior Championships in 2022 and silver medalist in 2021, as well as a silver medalist in the 4×100-metre mixed freestyle relay and in 2022.
