Slovenian Figure Skating Championships

The Slovenian Figure Skating Championships is a figure skating competition held annually to crown the national champions of Slovenia. The event has been held under this name since 1992. From 1985 to 1991, it was called the Slovenian Republic Championships.

The Slovenian Chess Championship is the national chess championship held in Slovenia. The championship has been played since the 1950s, first as a regional championship in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, and after the independence of Slovenia as a national championship. Before 1991, the championship was usually played as a qualifier for the Yugoslav Chess Championship in which not always the best players participated. This is because the best Slovenian players were often automatically qualified for the championship based on rating or performance in other tournaments.

Luka Lenič is a Slovenian chess player who holds the FIDE title of Grandmaster. He is the top ranked chess player of his country. Lenič won the under-14 division of the World Youth Chess Championships in Heraklion in 2002. He won the Slovenian Chess Championship in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2013. Lenič has played for the Slovenian national team in the Chess Olympiad, European Team Chess Championship, Mitropa Cup and European Youth Team Championship. He competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2017.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Michael Chrastecky</span> Slovenian-Italian ice dancer

Michael Chrastecky is a Czech-born Slovenian–Italian ice dancer. With his former skating partner, Carolina Portesi Peroni, he is the 2023 Italian national bronze medalist, a two-time Italian junior national champion and competed in the final segment at the 2020 World Junior Championships. In September 2021, at the qualifications for the 2022 Winter Olympics, they placed as the third reserve. Chrastecky speaks six languages, he is fluent in English, Czech, Italian, and Slovene, and speaks very good French and Bosnian.
