Mark J. Carron (born July 8,1962,in Springfield,Massachusetts) is an American politician who represented the 6th Worcester District in the Massachusetts House of Representatives from 1999 to 2007 and was a member of the Southbridge,Massachusetts Town Council from 1996 to 1999. [1]
In 2012,Carron was ordered to serve 6 months of a 2-year jail sentence for driving while under the influence of alcohol. Carron had previously been convicted of drunken driving in 1987 and 1991. [2]
Different Seasons (1982) is a collection of four Stephen King novellas with a more dramatic bent,rather than the horror fiction for which King is famous. The center wants each individual to achieve his or her greatest level of independence. The center offers many programs to service individual needs. The difference day programs are West Street Day Habilitation Program,Southbridge Day Habilitation Program,Quinebaug River Day Habilitation Program,and Center of Hope Day Habilitation Program. These opportunities for the individuals are both paid and voluntary jobs. It operates a number of businesses which its clients work in,such as a car detailing service and Books and Beans,a coffee shop.
Notre Dame Catholic Church is a historic church in Southbridge,Massachusetts. It is one of two churches serving the Parish of Saint John Paul II;Saint Mary Church,located at the corner of Marcy and Hamilton Street,also serves as the location of the Parish Center and Rectory.
St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church—St. Mary's School was a historic church and school building at Hamilton and Pine Streets in Southbridge,Massachusetts. Built in 1853,it was the first Roman Catholic church located in south-central Massachusetts,and one of only two Greek Revival church buildings in the city. Later used as a school and parish hall,it was destroyed by fire in December 1999. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.
The LaCroix-Mosher House is a historic house at 56 Everett Street in Southbridge,Massachusetts. It is one of a few remaining Colonial Revival mansions from the early 20th century in Southbridge. It was designed by architect George H. Clemence,and built c. 1904-07 for Joseph Lacroix,president of the Hyde Manufacturing Company. In the late 1920s the house was acquired by Ira Mosher,vice president of the American Optical Company.
Mrs. R. Marcy House is a historic house at 64 South Street in Southbridge,Massachusetts. It is one of a few high style Queene Anne Victorian houses in Southbridge. It was built sometime before 1898,when it was listed as being owned by Mrs. Rinda Marcy,widow of Merrick Marcy. Nothing is known of the Marcys,other than their probable descent from one of Southbridge's early settlers. The house has a typical asymmetrical design,with multiple shapes of wood shingling,carved ornamental decorations,and bracketed eaves.
The William McKinstry Jr. House is a historic house at 915 W. Main Street in Southbridge,Massachusetts. It is a 2+ story building,unusual because of its distinctive monitor roof. Its construction date is unknown,but it is documented in a painting of Southbridge's Globe Village area in 1822. It appears to have been intended for housing,but the monitor roof is more typically associated with mill buildings. It is known to have been occupied by William McKinstry Jr.,son of an early Southbridge settler,in 1836.
