Mark Clifford is a British musician and producer known primarily for his involvement with his band Seefeel. He has been involved in a number of solo and collaborative projects which have resulted in a wide range of material released on many different labels including Warp Records, Rephlex Records, Bella Union, Editions Mego and his own Polyfusia label.
Seefeel was formed in 1992: [1] Clifford advertising in local classifieds for members. In its earliest incarnation Sarah Peacock, Justin Fletcher and Mark Van Hoen represented guitar/vocals, drums and bass respectively, with Daren Seymour supplanting Van Hoen as the bassist early on. [1] Too Pure signed Seefeel and published their first EPs and LP in 1993. Seefeel decamped to Warp Records in 1994 where they remain signed to this day, having released two LPs and three EPs with them thus far. 1996 also saw the release of a mini album, (CH-VOX) on Rephlex Records. [2] Around 1999 Seefeel went on an indefinite hiatus only to reconvene in 2008 with a new Bassist and drummer, Shigeru Ishihara and Iida Kazuhisa.
Aside from his work with Seefeel, Clifford has released two mini albums, 1995's Looking for Snags & 1996's Clean, Pit and Lid, under the name Disjecta for Warp Records. [3] The name of the project was taken from the literature of Samuel Beckett. [4] A 4 track Disjecta EP, True Love by Normal, was also released in 2003 on Clifford's own Polyfusia label. [5] 1996 also saw the release of a 4 track vinyl-only EP titled Souff Souff on Warp under the guise of Woodenspoon. [6] Clifford has produced and remixed a number of different artists including Autechre (as Seefeel), [7] Nav Katze (as Seefeel & Disjecta), [8] [9] Mira Calix, Bowery Electric and School of Seven Bells (as Seefeel). Clifford, being an admirer of Scottish band Cocteau Twins, sent a copy of Seefeel's debut EP, More Like Space, to them in 1994 as a gesture not expecting it to incite anything in particular. To his surprise the band loved it and contacted him requesting he collaborate with them on a new EP of remixes. [1] The result of this collaborative project was 1995's Otherness consisting of four remixed tracks. Clifford would also tour with the band in 1996, performing live remixes on stage as well as DJing. Following the initial dissolution of Seefeel Clifford formed a collaborative project called Sneakster with vocalist Sophie Hinkley. They released two EPs and an LP in 1999 on Robin Guthrie's label Bella Union. [12] Periodically between 1999 and 2004 Clifford met with friend and collaborator Mira Calix to record material. [13] A retrospective of this material titled Lost Foundling was released in 2010 on Andrea Parker (DJ)'s label Aperture. [14] Clifford has released a collaborative album with Simon Kealoha (Calika) and a split EP with Zavoloka, both on his Polyfusia label. [15] Mark Clifford also works with musician Scott Douglas Gordon (Loops Haunt) under the project title Oto Hiax. Their first, self-titled album, was released by Editions Mego in 2017 [16]
Christian Fennesz is a producer and guitarist active in electronic music since the 1990s, often credited simply by his last name. His work utilizes guitar and laptop computers to blend melody with treated samples and glitch production. He lives and works in Vienna, and currently records on the UK label Touch.
Warp Records is a British independent record label founded in Sheffield in 1989 by record store employees Steve Beckett and Rob Mitchell and record producer Robert Gordon. It is currently based in London.
Leila Arab, professionally known as Leila, is an Iranian-born record producer and DJ based in London, England. She has released music on the labels Rephlex, XL and Warp. She has also worked extensively with Icelandic singer Björk.
Chantal Francesca Passamonte, known professionally as Mira Calix, was a South African-born, British-based audio and visual artist and musician signed to Warp Records.
Chris Jeffs, best known by the stage name Cylob, is a British electronic musician and producer closely associated with Aphex Twin. He has produced seven albums, three compilations and a number of remixes. Previously signed to Rephlex records, Jeffs started his own digital label Cylob Industries in 2007. His most well-known tracks include "Rewind" and "Cut The Midrange, Drop The Bass".
Global Communication is an electronic music duo consisting of Tom Middleton and Mark Pritchard; the duo have also recorded under other aliases, including Reload and Jedi Knights. They founded the labels Evolution Records and Universal Language Productions. Their 1994 album 76:14, released on Dedicated Records, became an acclaimed work of 1990s ambient and electronic music.
Mark Van Hoen is an English electronic music artist. He has created music under his own name as well as Locust, and Autocreation. Pitchfork said, "Musically, Van Hoen belongs to a distinguished family tree. Originally influenced by the likes of Brian Eno and Tangerine Dream, and later presaging both Autechre's glitch and Boards of Canada's pastoral IDM, with his latest album Van Hoen would fit in just as well alongside White Rainbow or Atlas Sound on a current label like Kranky: He combines oceanic drone with pop lyricism, using technology as a catalyst."
Seefeel are a British electronic and post-rock band formed in the early 1990s by Mark Clifford, Daren Seymour (bass), Justin Fletcher, and Sarah Peacock. Their work became known for fusing guitar-based shoegaze with the production techniques of ambient techno and electronica.
"Basscadet" is a track released by British electronic music duo Autechre, featured on their debut EP, titled Basscad,EP, released by Warp Records on 25 April 1994. The EP consists entirely of remixes of the namesake track, which originally appeared on Incunabula, Autechre's 1993 debut album with Warp Records. It is the only Autechre single to be taken from an album.

Nav Katze (ナーヴ・カッツェ) was a female music duo from Tokyo, Japan consisting of Naoko Iimura (飯村直子) (guitar) and Miwako Yamaguchi (山口美和子). The band was formed in 1984 with a third member, Shino Furutachi (古舘詩乃) (drums). After having released two records on the SWITCH label, they made their major debut on Victor Music Industries with the album Kanki. Shino Furutachi left the band in 1991 after this album. Later, they collaborated with famous rock band LUNA SEA.
EPs 1991–2002 is a 5-CD box set which contains material from all 11 EPs released by British electronic music duo Autechre between 1991 and 2002 including Autechre's first EP, Cavity Job, presented for the first time on CD. The "Basscadet" remixes made by Beaumont Hannant and Seefeel are not included.
