Goldbridge was born Brent Di Cesare on April 7th, 1979. [4] [5] He currently resides in Nottingham and lives in Solihull as of 2019.
He has stated that he created the alias when he started his YouTube career. This alias was used at the request of his employers during his job as a police officer investigating financial fraud. [6]
Goldbridge has four YouTube channels: "The United Stand" which consists of Manchester United content, [7] "That's Football" which consists of general football content and watchalongs of non-Manchester United matches, [8] "Mark Goldbridge That's Entertainment" which consists of clips from his recent livestreams, and "Mark Goldbridge" which includes more personal content such as cooking, vlogging and general chit-chats. [9]
Goldbridge started The United Stand in 2014 under the name "Soccer Box TV", [10] providing videos on Premier League match predictions. He then switched his content to post-match reactions of Manchester United games. [6] Later, Goldbridge started live streaming watchalongs of the matches. BBC Sport has described these as "an amateur online version of Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday ". [11]

[14] In total, they raised over £1,000,000 for their select charities. [15] Goldbridge was applauded for injecting his own style of play into his team, which was coined as 'Goldbridge ball'. [16]
In March 2023, Mark Goldbridge held his first ever live-shows with The United Stand. The shows took place in Dublin, Manchester and London. [17]
In September 2023, Goldbridge was back for the Sidemen Charity Match as manager of YouTube All Stars, where they raised over £2,400,000 in just two hours. The Sidemen won the match, beating the YouTube All Stars 8–5. Miniminter, W2S and Behzinga were all on the score sheet for Sidemen FC, while ChrisMD, Max Fosh and Niko Omilana were on target for the All-Stars. Goldbridge received praise for his managerial skills, especially for his rousing half-time team talk. [18]

On 5 February 2024, The United Stand YouTube channel released an interview with Manchester United striker Rasmus Højlund conducted by Goldbridge. [20] Whilst the interview proved very popular with many channel subscribers, a month later, a piece in a Manchester United fanzine, United We Stand, claimed that unidentified Manchester United players were unhappy with Højlund's decision to conduct an interview with a channel that was 'built on negativity' and that Højlund had apologized to the players for it, claiming he didn't know what the channel was, which Goldbridge refuted. Goldbridge, in a 10 March 2024 evening show on The United Stand YouTube channel, defended the interview, saying the interview was vetted and approved by Rasmus Højlund himself and Manchester United. He also refuted accusations that The United Stand channel focused only on the negatives and claimed that the interview had received over 6 million views across all major social media platforms. [21] While it was later clarified that Højlund's interview may have simply been the subject of light-hearted jokes amongst Manchester United's players rather than causing any unrest, [22] Goldbridge received online death threats for the interview from fans.
