Mark Greenaway is an Edinburgh-based chef and restaurateur. He is chef and owner of Restaurant Mark Greenaway, voted one of the UK's Top 100 Restaurants in 2017, and holds three AA Rosettes. Greenaway represented Scotland on BBC2's Great British Menu in 2012 and 2013.
Greenaway opened his restaurant, Restaurant Mark Greenaway on Picardy Place, Edinburgh, in 2011, and it moved to North Castle Street in 2013 where it remained through 2018. [1] It was the only Scottish restaurant awarded three AA Rosettes, [2] It was added to Restaurant Magazine 's list of UK Top 100 Restaurants in 2014. [3]
In April 2012 Greenaway represented Scotland on the BBC’s cookery program Great British Menu , and again in 2013 for the series Great British Menu Does Comic Relief . Later in 2013, Greenaway took part in a BBC2 documentary series called Teen Canteen, [4] in which students from Linlithgow Academy in Scotland set out to start up a healthy take-away business. He worked in Australia for five years, then at One Devonshire Gardens in Glasgow, at Kilcamb Lodge Hotel in Strontian and at the Dryburgh Abbey Hotel in the Scottish Borders. [8]
Greenaway's first cookbook, Perceptions – Recipes from Restaurant Mark Greenaway, which was published in 2016 and won Best Cookbook in the World in the Chef Category 2017 of the Gourmand World Book Awards. [9]
In 2019, the chef opened Grazing by Mark Greenaway in Edinburgh's Waldorf Astoria hotel. [10] In 2021, Greenaway opened his first London fine dining restaurant, Pivot, in Covent Garden. [11] [12] [13] This followed the April 2021 opening of his first pie and mash shop in the city. [14]
Heston Marc Blumenthal is an English celebrity chef, TV personality and food writer. Blumenthal is regarded as a pioneer of multi-sensory cooking, food pairing and flavour encapsulation. Marcus Wareing is an English celebrity chef who was Chef-Owner of the one-Michelin-starred restaurant Marcus until its permanent closure in December 2023. Since 2014, Wareing has been a judge on MasterChef: The Professionals.
Atul Kochhar is an Indian-born, British-based chef and television personality. Kochhar was one of the first two Indian chefs to receive a Michelin star, awarded in London in 2001 whilst at Tamarind. He opened his own restaurant Benares, which won him a second Michelin star in 2007. Since then he has opened several other restaurants: Kanishka in London, Masalchi in Wembley Park, Sindhu Vaasu, Riwaz and Hawkyns in Buckinghamshire and Indian Essence in Petts Wood, Kent.

Hibiscus was a London restaurant which was owned and run by French chef Claude Bosi. It was opened in 2000 in Ludlow, Shropshire, and won its first Michelin star within a year, and a second in the 2004 Guide. In July 2006, Bosi and his wife Claire announced that they were to sell the location in Ludlow and move closer to London. The property was sold to Alan Murchison, and Bosi purchased a new site on Maddox Street in London. The restaurant closed in 2016.
The Hind's Head is a gastropub in Bray, Berkshire. It dates from the 15th century and was converted into a restaurant in the 1920s. In 2004, it was purchased by the chef Heston Blumenthal, the owner of another Bray restaurant, the Fat Duck.

Issaya Siamese Club has been listed on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants, a division of The World's 50 Best Restaurants, most recently ranked number 39 in 2018. Australian Traveller magazine listed Issaya Siamese Club as one of the world’s hottest restaurants in 2018.
Elystan Street is a London restaurant co-owned by chef patron Phil Howard and Rebecca Mascarenhas. Howard and Mascarenhas established the restaurant on 27 September 2016, six months after Howard sold and left his previous restaurant The Square. Elystan Street earned its first Michelin star in October 2017 and has retained it since.
