Mark Jordon (born 25 January 1965) is an English actor, best known for playing PC Phil Bellamy in the British television series Heartbeat , which he left in 2007. A documentary, Heartbeat - Farewell Phil was broadcast later on Christmas Day [1] where he was husband to landlord Gina (Tricia Penrose).
His debut as director came with the short film To The Sea Again, which played in many festivals and made it to the final of the Angel Film Festival London [2] and Moondance International Film Festival in Hollywood.
On 8 July 2014, Jordon joined the cast of Emmerdale in the short term role of Daz Spencer. He reprised the role in August 2017, becoming a regular cast member, until Daz was written out on 31 January 2019.
Jordon married actress Siobhan Finneran in 1997; they divorced in 2014. They have two children together. [3]
Mark's current partner is Emmerdale co-star Laura Norton. On 24 August 2020, it was announced that the couple were expecting their first child. On 29 January 2021, Norton gave birth to a son named Jesse. [4] In November 2022, she gave birth to their daughter.[ citation needed ]
In July 2018, he was arrested on suspicion of assault. [5] In October 2018, he was charged with grievous bodily harm and assault. [6] In November 2018, he pleaded not guilty and was granted unconditional bail until his trial. [7] In August 2019, he was found not guilty of all charges. [8]

Valerie "Val" Pollard is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera Emmerdale, played by Charlie Hardwick. She made her first screen appearance in the episodes broadcast on 1 February 2004. Val was introduced as the sister of established character Diane Sugden. She later married Eric Pollard. Hardwick took a three-month break from Emmerdale to appear in a play and the character left on 10 February 2012. Sandy Thomas is a fictional character from the British soap opera Emmerdale, played by Freddie Jones. Sandy was introduced as the father of Ashley Thomas. He made his first appearance during the episode broadcast on 6 November 2005. The character originally departed in March 2008, but returned to the show in February 2009. On 6 February 2018, it was confirmed that Jones had filmed his final episode and he made his final appearance as Sandy on 19 February 2018.
