Goucher, who enlisted local leaders of the Methodist Episcopal Church to establish the school's charter. Goucher relocated to its present Towson campus in 1953 and became coeducational in 1986.
Loyola Blakefield is a private Catholic, college preparatory school run by the USA East Province of the Society of Jesus in Towson, Maryland and within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. It was established in 1852 by the Jesuits as an all-boys school for students from Baltimore, Baltimore County, Harford County, Carroll County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Southern Pennsylvania. It enrolls over 900 students in grades six through twelve. The school was originally called Loyola High School when it was established in 1852. The name change occurred when it added a middle school.

Located in the northern Baltimore suburb of Towson and serving the surrounding communities of Towson, Lutherville, and Ruxton, it is part of the Baltimore County Public Schools system, the 25th largest school system in the nation as of 2005. Area middle schools that feed into Towson High are Dumbarton Middle School, Ridgely Middle School, and Loch Raven Technical Academy, although students from other areas attend the Law and Public Policy magnet school.

Towson United Methodist Church is a large United Methodist Church in the historic Hampton subdivision of Towson, a suburb in Baltimore County, Maryland. It was a congregation split in 1861 on the eve of the American Civil War in a border state of divided loyalties, which eventually reunited and built a church in the post–World War II era of the 1950s, a time of reconciliation and rapid growth by mainline Protestant denominations, especially in the more affluent suburbs.
Kenneth S. Ulman is an American attorney, businessman, and politician who has served as the chair of the Maryland Democratic Party since 2023. He previously served as the county executive of Howard County, Maryland from 2006 to 2014 and represented the 4th district of the Howard County Council from 2002 to 2006. Ulman was the Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor of Maryland in the 2014 Maryland gubernatorial election, in which he and Lieutenant Governor Anthony Brown were defeated by Republican businessman Larry Hogan and Boyd Rutherford. Following his defeat, Ulman founded his own consulting company, Margrave Strategies.
Kevin B. Kamenetz was an American politician who was the 12th County Executive of Baltimore County, Maryland, serving between 2010 and May 10, 2018, when he died suddenly while in office. He was a member of the Democratic Party. He previously served as a four-term County Councilman representing the Second District of Baltimore County. On September 18, 2017, Kamenetz declared his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for the 2018 Maryland Gubernatorial Election.

Judy Jolley Mohraz is an American women's studies historian. She is a former president of Goucher College and the inaugural chief executive officer and president of the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust. Mohraz is the second woman to serve as Goucher's president and the college's ninth president. Mohraz was appointed by President Bill Clinton to the United States Naval Academy Board of Visitors in 1996. She is a former long-time professor and associate provost of Southern Methodist University. Mohraz is the author of The Separate Problem, a collection of case studies of Black education in the Northern United States from 1900 to 1930.

Theodore G. Venetoulis was an American politician from Maryland and a member of the Democratic Party. He served as the sixth Baltimore County Executive from 1974 to 1978. He ran for Governor of Maryland in 1978 but lost the Democratic primary election to Harry R. Hughes.
