Mark Stephen Tilbury [2] (born September 15, 1968) is a British entrepreneur, investor, podcaster and content creator at YouTube. His net worth as of 2025 was estimated to be US$8 million. Mark Tilbury was born in Canterbury, United Kingdom. He was the only son having three sisters. He attended Fulston Manor School and dropped out of the high school at the age of 16, seeking his lines to business. [10] [11] He had no money at the time. Before dropping out, he took a hobby of catching and selling five fish for a pound sterling. [10] For his first job, Tilbury worked at a carpenter's place and made wooden trash cans, with a wage of less than US$2 an hour. [7] [11] Tilbury bought cars at a low price, repaired them properly and sold them at a profit, knowing negotiations and base of business from this hobby. In 1988, Mark Tilbury started the company Model World Ltd., [14] based in Castle Road, Sittingbourne. [15] Model World sells remote-controlled toys. He quit his previous job, being bullied by his manager in working a 9–5 job. [16] At first, he himself designed and sold the products. He flew to China for further manufacturing of his products. After he was able to manufacture his products, Tilbury opened a chain of retail stores and shops with wholesale distribution.
