Mark Turner Williams (born 1978) [1] is a choral conductor and organist. Since January 2017, he has held the post of Informator Choristarum, Organist and Tutorial Fellow in Music at Magdalen College, Oxford. [2] He was Assistant Organist at St Paul's Cathedral from 2000 to 2006, and between 2009 and 2016 held the position of Director of Music at Jesus College, Cambridge.
Williams was organ scholar at Trinity College, Cambridge from 1997 to 2000, under Richard Marlow. [3] After graduating from Trinity College he became Assistant Organist at St Paul's Cathedral, and Director of Music at St Paul's Cathedral School. At 21 he was the youngest person ever to be appointed to these positions. [4] In 2009 he succeeded Daniel Hyde as Director of Music at Jesus College, Cambridge. [5] His other conducting roles include Principal Guest Conductor of the City of London Choir, and Artistic Director of the International William Byrd Festival. [6] [7]
He has also been involved with a number of charities. He has been a trustee of the Friends of Cathedral Music, and serves on the boards of Cambridge Early Music, [8] the Oundle Music Trust, [9] and the Harlton Organ Trust, and is a founding trustee of The Muze Trust, which supports music making in Zambia, [10] and Songbound, a charity which sets up and supports choirs for under-privileged children in India. [5] [11] In 2013 he organised a tour of India by the choir of Jesus College, Cambridge, which included a week working with Songbound in the slums of Mumbai. [12]
Sir John Stainer was an English composer and organist whose music, though seldom performed today, was very popular during his lifetime. His work as choir trainer and organist set standards for Anglican church music that are still influential. He was also active as an academic, becoming Heather Professor of Music at Oxford.

The Choir of St John's College, Cambridge is part of the English cathedral tradition, having been founded to sing the daily liturgy in the College Chapel, though it is set apart from other English choirs of this tradition by the frequent inclusion of Continental works in its repertoire and its emphasis on polyphonic interpretations. Alongside the Choir of King's College, Cambridge, it is one of the two most famous collegiate choirs in Cambridge, having had over 90 recordings published. The choir consists of fifteen Choral Scholars and twenty Choristers and Probationers, all of whom are members of St John's College, many of whom have proceeded to become distinguished musicians.

The Choir of Somerville College, one of the constituent colleges of the University of Oxford, is mixed voice and is led by a Director of Chapel Music, currently William Dawes, incumbent since 2017. In conjunction with the organ scholars, the choir is central to the musical life of the college and, in its present form, was founded by Francis Knights and Sam Bayliss in 2001. Previous Directors of Chapel Music include David Crown, who directed the choir between 2007 and 2015. The choir sings in Somerville College Chapel every Sunday during term and performs regularly in concerts organised by Somerville Music Society. The organ of the college chapel is a traditionally voiced instrument by Harrison & Harrison. Somerville offers up to five Choral Exhibitions each year to applicants reading any subject.

He is a past president of the Incorporated Association of Organists, and previously conducted both the Peterborough Choral Society and the Stamford Chamber Orchestra. He was previously Director of Music and Organist at Christ Church, Oxford and Associate Professor at the Faculty of Music, University of Oxford.
Anna Ruth Ella Lapwood is a British organist, choir director and television and radio presenter. In 2016 she was appointed Director of Music at Pembroke College, Cambridge, one of the youngest people ever to have directed an Oxford or Cambridge university college choir, and in 2018 she established a girls' choir at the College. As an associate artist at the Royal Albert Hall in London since 2022, her recordings have reached a wide audience on social media.
