The Austin Wranglers were an arena football team based in Austin, Texas. They played four seasons in the Arena Football League from 2004 to 2007 and spent one season in af2, the AFL's developmental league, in 2008. They made playoff appearances in the AFL in 2006 and in af2 in 2008. They played their home games at the Frank Erwin Center at the University of Texas at Austin.
The Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz were an arena football team. The team began play as a 2004 expansion team of the Arena Football League's minor league af2 before becoming a member of the AFL in 2010. Formerly a tenant of the Ford Center from 2004 until 2008, the Yard Dawgz were forced out when the National Basketball Association's Oklahoma City Thunder moved into town; starting in 2009, the Yard Dawgz played across the street at the Cox Convention Center. The Corpus Christi Sharks were a 2007 expansion member of the AF2, an arena American football development league. They played their home games at the American Bank Center. Michael Trigg was the team's head coach. Trigg had been a head coach in the Arena Football League with the Milwaukee Mustangs, Grand Rapids Rampage and Philadelphia Soul, coaching the Rampage to victory in ArenaBowl XV. The Sharks folded in October 2009.

As a member of the Steelers, he won Super Bowl XLIII against the Arizona Cardinals. Baker is currently the wide receivers coach at Baylor University.

He also was the head coach of the Duke City Gladiators in the Indoor Football League (IFL) for part of the 2021 season.
The Corpus Christi Rage was a professional indoor football team and a charter member of the National Arena League (NAL) that began play in its inaugural 2017 season. Based in Corpus Christi, Texas, the Rage played their home games at the American Bank Center.
The Corpus Christi Tritons are a professional indoor football team based in Corpus Christi, Texas. They started as an expansion team in American Indoor Football in 2024 and play their home games at the American Bank Center; as of 2025, they are members of Arena Football One. The team follows in the history of indoor football in the city with the now-defunct Corpus Christi Hammerheads/Fury, who played in several leagues between 2003 and 2016, the Corpus Christi Sharks from the af2 from 2007 to 2009 and the Corpus Christi Rage, who folded halfway through their lone season in the NAL in 2017.
