Mary J. Kincaid-Chauncey is a former Democratic politician from Nevada. Kincaid-Chauncey served on the Clark County Commission until she was defeated for reelection and subsequently convicted of federal corruption charges.
Kincaid-Chauncey was a flower shop owner from North Las Vegas. She served on the North Las Vegas City Council from 1978 to 1981 and again from 1984 to 1996. In 1996 she won a seat Clark County Commission as a Democrat. She was reelected in 2000. [1]
Although actively under investigation for her involvement in Operation G-Sting at the time,in 2004 Kincaid-Chauncey ran for reelection to the Clark County Commission. She finished third in the Democratic primary behind John Bonaventura and the eventual winner,state Assemblyman Tom Collins. [2]
Along with former Clark County commissioners Erin Kenny,Dario Herrera,and several other local elected officials,Kincaid-Chauncey became embroiled in a corruption investigation involving a Las Vegas strip club which became known as Operation G-Sting. [3] In May 2006 Kincaid-Chauncey was convicted of conspiracy,wire fraud and extortion stemming from charges that he and the other officials "used their public offices to further the interests of Michael Galardi,a strip club owner in Las Vegas. They solicited and accepted money,property,and services directly from Galardi and through co-defendant Lance Malone,another former county commissioner. The evidence demonstrated that members of the conspiracy concealed the payments they received from Galardi and failed to disclose the payments as required by law and their fiduciary duties as county commissioners." In August 2006 Kincaid-Chauncey was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison,fined $7,600 and ordered to forfeit $19,000 in assets. [4] Although Kincaid-Chauncey's sentence was considerably lighter than Herrera's,unlike Herrera she attempted to appeal them. [5]
In January 2007 Kincaid-Chauncey began serving her sentence at the Federal Correctional Complex near Victorville,California,a facility she requested due to its proximity to Las Vegas. [6] [7] She was released in March 2009. [8]
Vincent Joseph Fumo is a former politician,lawyer and businessman from Philadelphia,Pennsylvania. A Democrat,he represented a South Philadelphia district in the Pennsylvania Senate from 1978 to 2008. On March 16,2009,he was convicted of 137 federal corruption charges. On July 14,2009,he was sentenced to 55 months in federal prison.

Operation Tennessee Waltz was a sting operation set up by federal and state law enforcement agents,including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). The operation led to the arrest of seven Tennessee state lawmakers and two men identified as "bagmen" in the indictment on the morning of May 26,2005,on bribery charges. The FBI and TBI followed these arrests with an additional arrest of two county commissioners,one from Hamilton County,and the other a member of the prominent Hooks family of Memphis. Investigators also arrested a former county administrator.

He was elected Perth Amboy Democratic Chairman in 2008,succeeding his longtime campaign chairman Ray Geneske. Vas resigned as the party chairman in 2009. He was convicted of state corruption charges in 2010 and federal corruption charges in 2011.

Operation G-Sting,also called Strippergate,and referencing the G-String costume often worn by strippers and showgirls,was an FBI investigation into bribes and unreported campaign contributions taken by Clark County Commissioners in Clark County,Nevada and city council members in San Diego,California. These bribes were from the same lobbyist,representing two sets of strip clubs,and was the result of strip club owners Rick Rizzolo and Mike Galardi trying to remove local "no touch" laws affecting the girls in their clubs.

James C. "Jimmy" Dimora is an American politician who served as Cuyahoga County Commissioner from 1998 until 2010,and as chairman of the county Democratic Party from 1994 until 2009. Before being elected county commissioner,Dimora served as mayor of Bedford Heights,Ohio for 17 years. In 2012 Dimora was convicted of 32 charges including racketeering,bribery,conspiracy,and tax charges and sentenced to 28 years in federal prison in one of the largest criminal corruption cases in Ohio history. He was originally serving his sentence at the Federal Medical Center,Devens in Ayer,Massachusetts,with a release date of 2031. His inmate number is 56275-060.
