Mary Carolynn Tucker (born July 20, 2001) is an American sport shooter. [1] She won silver in the 10m air rifle mixed at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Previously she has won gold at the 2021 ISSF World Cup in the 10 metre air rifle. [2] She also won a silver medal in 10 metre air rifle team women and a bronze medal in 10m air rifle mixed team in the ISSF World Cup 2021, New Delhi. After the games she took home 6 medals from the Junior World Championships and the 10 meter air rifle championship from the 2021 Pan American Games. Tucker is right handed and is right eye dominant. After completing high school at Sarasota Military Academy she enrolled at the University of Kentucky (UK). [4] Tucker qualified for the U.S. Olympic team in February 2020 for Tokyo Olympics in air rifle. [5] In March 2021, she led UK to the NCAA rifle team championship, winning individual titles in both contested disciplines of air rifle and smallbore. She has since doubled the NCAA team championship as well as winning overall high performer for the second straight year. [6] Following her junior season at Kentucky, Tucker transferred to West Virginia University, where she was crowned 2023 CRCA and GARC Shooter of the Year, among numerous accolades. [7]
Jason Parker is an American sport shooter, one of the world's leading 10 m Air Rifle shooters, although he has also had some successes in Three positions competitions. He has never won an Olympic medal, but he won the Air Rifle event at the 2002 ISSF World Shooting Championships. He has also held the final world record in this event on several occasions. He lost it to Zhu Qinan of China at the 2004 Olympics, but at an ISSF World Cup competition the following spring he equalled Zhu's 702.7 points, and they shared the world record until October 2006.

Shooting competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were originally scheduled from 25 July to 3 August 2020, due to the postponement of the Summer Olympics to 2021, the rescheduled dates were on 24 July to 2 August 2021 at the Asaka Shooting Range. Unlike in 2016, the number of shooters competing across fifteen events at these Games had been reduced from 390 to 360, with an equal distribution between men and women. Furthermore, several significant changes were instituted in the Olympic shooting program, including the substitution of three male-only events, with the mixed team competitions.

The South Florida Bulls rifle team represented the University of South Florida in the sport of rifle. The program consisted of a men's and women's co-ed team which competed in NCAA Division I. The rifle team only existed for five years, but was very successful in that time, earning three top-three team finishes in NCAA National Championship events and winning two individual national titles. Roger Johnson served as head coach for the team's entire existence.

Seonaid McIntosh is a British sports shooter who became the World Champion at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the 50m Prone Rifle event. In 2019 she became Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, winning five World Cup medals. She also became the first British Woman to rank World #1 for the 50m Rifle Three Position event and became European Champion in the 300m Rifle Prone event with an equal World Record score.
Manu Bhaker is an Indian sport shooter. She has won 2 medals at the Olympics and World Championships, 19 medals at the World Cup and 4 medals at the Asian Championships. She won gold at the Commonwealth and Asian Games and 2 bronze at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Bhaker thus became the first Indian woman to win a shooting medal at the Olympics. She won another bronze, becoming the first Indian woman to win two medals in an Olympics.
This article details the qualifying phase for shooting at the 2020 Summer Olympics. 300 quota places for the Games are entitled to the shooters coming from their respective NOCs, based on the results at designated ISSF supervised Championships subjected to the ISSF rules from September 1, 2018, to June 6, 2021. Host nation Japan has been guaranteed twelve quota places with one in each of the individual events. Four quota places will be awarded to the shooters competing in each of the mixed team events, while the highest-ranked shooter, who has not qualified yet or whose NOC does not have a berth in any of the twelve individual events, will obtain a direct Olympic quota place through the World Rankings. The remaining twenty-four quota places are available to the eligible NOCs under the Tripartite Commission Invitation, with two in each of the individual event, to attain a maximum number of 360.

Amit Sheoran is a pistol shooting coach, who also competed at a national level, He had to leave shooting due to the death of his father. He has produced several national and international-level Indian pistol shooters. He has coached Saurabh Chaudhary.
