Mason Espinosa is a former professional American football quarterback and current coach for the DePauw Tigers football team. He has also played for the Albany Empire, the Erie Explosion and the Billings Wolves. [1] [2] [3] Espinosa played college football for Ohio Wesleyan University. He currently holds 17 individual Ohio Wesleyan records, as well as being the all-time North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) career leader in passing yards and total yards, while also setting a single season NCAC record for completions. He was also an assistant football coach at Granville, Ohio-based Denison University, for the 2016–17 and 2017-18 seasons. [5]

College career

Espinosa played college football at Ohio Wesleyan University. He was a 4-time all NCAC selection, and was the NCAC Player of the Year in 2012. In addition, he was named the ohiocollegefootball.com First-Team All-Ohio quarterback in 2012, and a Beyond Sports Network All-American that same year. [6] [7] He was the MVP of the 2013 National Bowl Game. [8] In total, Espinosa finished as the record holder to 17 different records for Ohio Wesleyan, in addition to being the Conference's all-time record holder in career passing yards (11,069), total yards (10,839), and completions (1004), ranking him statistically among the best to have played Division III football. Professional career

Erie Explosion

Espinosa signed with the Erie Explosion of the Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL) for the 2015 season. [1] In his rookie year, he was an Honorable Mention for Rookie of the year and was the Week 9 PIFL Offensive Player of the week. [11]

Columbus Lions

Espinosa started the 2016 season with the Columbus Lions of American Indoor Football (AIF). [12]

Billings Wolves

In late March 2016, Espinosa signed with the Billings Wolves of the Indoor Football League (IFL). [13] He led the Wolves to their only playoff appearance and was the IFL's week 10 Offensive Player of the Week. [11] [14]

Columbus Lions (second stint)

For the 2017 season, Espinosa signed and played with the Columbus Lions of the NAL. He was voted 2nd team All-NAL and was 2-time NAL Player of the Week, while leading Columbus to the NAL championship game against the Jacksonville Sharks, where they lost 27–21. [15] [16] [17] He has re-signed with the Lions for 2018. [3]

Albany Empire

On March 5, 2019, Espinosa was assigned to the Albany Empire of the Arena Football League.[ citation needed ]

Columbus Lions (third stint)

With the AFL closing down its teams in anticipation of either closure or reformatting as a touring league, the Columbus Lions re-signed Espinosa for the 2020 season. [18]

Mike Anthony Tatum is an American football coach who is the head coach and offensive coordinator for the Omaha Beef of the National Arena League (NAL). He is former indoor American football wide receiver for the Nebraska Danger, Bismarck Bucks and the Sioux Falls Storm of the Indoor Football League (IFL). He played college football at Oxnard College. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Marion Mayhem in 2009. He played with the Mayhem until their disbanding during the 2010 season. Tatum then finished the 2010 season with the Fort Wayne FireHawks. Tatum then returned to Marion in 2011, when a new franchise called the Marion Blue Racers expanded into the CIFL. Tatum has also played for the Everett Raptors of the IFL.

John D. Griggs is an American football defensive end for the Frisco Fighters of the Indoor Football League (IFL). He played college football for the University of Akron. He went undrafted during the 2013 NFL Draft, and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Stephen Panasuk Quarterback New Egypt Highschool La Salle University

The 2017 Indoor Football League season was the ninth season of the Indoor Football League (IFL). Playing with ten teams in two conferences spread across the midwestern and western United States, the league's regular season kicked off on February 16, 2017, when the Salt Lake Screaming Eagles hosted the Nebraska Danger. The regular season ended 18 weeks later on June 18, 2017, with the defending league champion Sioux Falls Storm visiting the Iowa Barnstormers and the Wichita Falls Nighthawks visiting the Nebraska Danger. The playoffs were held in two rounds, with the top two seeds in each conference playing against each other in the conference championships. The winner of those games met in the United Bowl.

Marvin Ross is an American football defensive back for the Jacksonville Sharks of the National Arena League (NAL). Ross started out with the Lions from 2013 to 2015 as part of the Professional Indoor Football League. As an Arena Football League player, Ross was the 2016 AFL Rookie of the Year with the Cleveland Gladiators before playing with the Atlantic City Blackjacks in 2019. In between these years, Ross played in the National Arena League with the Columbus Lions and the Canadian Football League with the Calgary Stampeders from 2017 to 2018. With the Lions, Ross was awarded the 2021 NAL Defensive Player of the Year and had the season record for most interceptions.
