Athletics

Massaponax High School is part of the AAA Commonwealth District and AAA Northwest Region, and offers soccer, tennis, cheerleading, cross-country running, lacrosse, football, golf, volleyball, basketball, field hockey, swimming, wrestling, baseball, softball, track and field, and gymnastics.[ citation needed ]

Massaponax's football team reached the State Finals in 2003 following an undefeated regular season, but lost. [3]

The Massaponax Maniacs is a student organization dedicated to cheering on school teams.[ citation needed ]

Marching band

The marching band is known as the Massaponax Marching Panther Pride (MP²).

Granby High School is a public high school in Norfolk, Virginia. The school is part of the Norfolk Public Schools system. It is the only high school in the school division that offers an International Baccalaureate program. The school building is located on historic Granby Street where the south end is at Downtown Norfolk and the north end where the beaches of Ocean View lie. Granby is also less than a mile away from the historic Wards Corner, a local shopping and eating center. In 2010, Newsweek placed Granby in the top 1300 of "America's Top Public High Schools". The AAA Commonwealth District is a high school conference in the state of Virginia that includes schools from Stafford and Spotsylvania counties. AAA is the largest enrollment class of the Virginia High School League and also typically the most competitive level in Virginia high school sports.

Freedom High School is a public high school established in 2004. It is located in Woodbridge, Virginia in unincorporated Prince William County, Virginia, United States, and is part of Prince William County Public Schools. The school is located on 15201 Neabsco Mills Road. In May 2007, Newsweek ranked Freedom 1148th in the nation on its annual list of "Best High Schools in America." Spotsylvania High School is a public high school in Spotsylvania County, Virginia. It serves the southern half of the county. The Knights are the least densely populated of the schools in the division. SHS houses the only International Baccalaureate programme in the division, as well as being one of two sites for the Commonwealth Governor's School. Both of these centers are made up of students accepted into the program who come from SHS, as well as other high schools in Spotsylvania County. SHS also works in partnership with Germanna Community College to offer the Gladys P. Todd academy, where students attend GCC during the day for their junior and senior years - achieving an associate degree along with their high school diploma upon graduation. The Original Spotsylvania High School opened in 1940 and three schools hosted the name of Spotsylvania High School.
