Massimo Pessina (born 25 December 2007) is an Italian professional football player who plays as a goalkeeper for the Serie A club Bologna.
Pessina is a product of the youth academies of the Italian clubs Olginatese, AlbinoLeffe and Bologna. [2] In the 2023–24 season he was promoted to Bologna's Campionato Primavera 1 side. [3] On 9 November 2025, he made his senior and professional with Bologna in a Serie A match against Napoli. He came on as a substitute in the 8th minute after the starting goalkeeper Łukasz Skorupski was injured, and helped the team to a 2–0 victory with a clean sheet. [4]
Pessina played for the Italy U17s that won the 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. [5] He was named to the "2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship Team of the Tournament" for his performance. [6] He was called up to the Italy U19s in August 2025. [7]
