Matt Berger (born October 10, 1993) is a Canadian skateboarder, competing in the street discipline. [1] Berger currently resides in Huntington beach, California. [1]

Career

At the 2021 Street Skateboarding World Championships Berger finished in sixth. [1]

In June 2021, Berger was named to Canada's 2020 Olympic team, in the inaugural skateboarding competition. [2] [3] [4] Berger ultimately competed at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, placing 20th overall.

Skateboarding at the 2020 Summer Olympics was an event held in the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. It was the debut appearance of skateboarding at the Summer Olympics. Skateboarding was one of four new sports added to the Olympic program for 2020; it is also provisionally approved for the 2024 Summer Olympic games. The proposal to add skateboarding to the Olympics was approved in August of 2016.

She was initially not picked in the Canadian contingent for the 2020 Summer Olympics but was later added as a substitute for an injured athlete in skateboarding event.
