Matteo Fiorini (born 10 February 1978) is a Sammarinese politician who was a Captain Regent (head of government for San Marino) for the October 2011 to April 2012 political term. The post was shared with Gabriele Gatti. [1] He also served with Enrico Carattoni as Captain Regent from October 2017 until April 2018.
San Marino,officially the Republic of San Marino,also known as the Most Serene Republic of San Marino,is a small country in Southern Europe enclaved by Italy. Located on the northeastern side of the Apennine Mountains,San Marino covers a land area of just over 61 km2 (24 sq mi),and has a population of 33,562.
The politics of the state of San Marino take place in a framework of a unitary assembly-independent representative democratic republic,whereby the Captains Regent are the heads of state and heads of government. The country has a multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the Grand and General Council. The judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature.
The captains regent are the two heads of state of the Republic of San Marino. They are elected every six months by the Grand and General Council,the country's legislative body. Normally the Regents are chosen from opposing parties and they serve a six-month term. The investiture of the captains regent takes place on 1 April and 1 October every year. This tradition dates back at least to 1243.
Antonello Bacciocchi was a Sammarinese politician. He was one of the captains-regent of San Marino until his term with Claudio Muccioli expired on 1 April 2006. As is traditional in San Marino,the term started on 1 October 2005;he had previously served as a captain-regent from 1 April 1999,to 1 October 1999. Bacciocchi is a member of the San Marinese Socialist Party and Minister of Labour,Cooperation and Youth Policies.

Prince Regent was launched at Rochester in 1811. She initially traded with the West Indies and the Mediterranean. From 1814 on she started trading with the Indian Ocean and India,sailing under a licence from the British East India Company (EIC). In 1820–1821 she transported convicts from Ireland to New South Wales. She continued to trade with Australia. In 1841–1842 she made a second voyage transporting convicts from Ireland,this time to Hobart. In about 1843 new owners shifted her home port to Hull. From there she traded with Quebec,the Baltic,Aden,and perhaps elsewhere. In 1863 she was at Alicante,Spain where she grounded. She was condemned as not worth repairing.
