Matthew Paul Leonard Bulbeck (born 8 November 1979) is a former English First-class and List A cricketer who made appearances for Somerset during his senior career. He also made appearances at Youth Test and Youth One Day International level for England. He was primarily a bowler, but scored two First-class half centuries batting in the lower order. He won the NBC Denis Compton Award in both 1998 and 1999, but was forced to retire early from first-class cricket because of a back injury. He went on to work at the Somerset County Ground as an administrator.

Lionel Charles Hamilton Palairet was an English amateur cricketer who played for Somerset and Oxford University. A graceful right-handed batsman, he was selected to play Test cricket for England twice in 1902. Contemporaries judged Palairet to have one of the most attractive batting styles of the period. His obituary in The Times described him as "the most beautiful batsman of all time". An unwillingness to tour during the English winter limited Palairet's Test appearances; contemporaries believed he deserved more Test caps.

James Charles Hildreth is a former English professional cricketer who played for Somerset County Cricket Club. He attended Millfield School, Somerset. He is a right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. Hildreth represented England at all youth levels including the 2003–04 Under-19 World cup held in Bangladesh. He made his first-class debut in 2003 and became a regular member of the side from the start of the 2004 season. The James Hildreth Stand was opened by him at Somerset County Cricket Ground on 21 September 2022.

John Daniel Francis is an English former first-class cricketer who played county cricket at first-class level for Hampshire and Somerset as a batsman.

Simon Richard George Francis is an English former cricketer, currently Director of Cricket at Warwick School. He bowled right-arm medium-fast and batted right-handed. He made his first-class debut for Hampshire in 1997, making a handful of appearances for the county until he moved to Somerset for the 2002 season. However, appearances for the first XI became less frequent and Francis was released at the end of the 2006 season. He was signed by Nottinghamshire early in the 2007 season, which proved to be his final year in professional cricket.

Michael Burns is an English first-class list cricket umpire and former first-class cricketer who played county cricket for Warwickshire and Somerset in a first-class career which spanned from 1992 until 2005. He also played Minor Counties cricket for Cumberland and Cornwall. An adaptable cricketer, he appeared for Cumberland and Warwickshire as a wicket-keeper, but when he moved to Somerset he developed into an aggressive batsman who bowled at medium-pace when needed.

Danny Richard Briggs is an English cricketer who currently plays for Warwickshire County Cricket Club, previously playing for Hampshire County Cricket Club and Sussex County Cricket Club. Briggs is a right-handed batsman who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. He was born at Newport on the Isle of Wight and was educated on the island at Carisbrooke High School. Briggs is the first international player to be born on the Isle of Wight. Briggs made his debut for Hampshire County Cricket Club aged 18 in 2009, since his debut he has seen success in first-class and Twenty20 cricket. In 2011, he became the youngest English spin bowler to take 100 first-class wickets since Derek Underwood. He made his full international debut for England on 21 February 2012 against Pakistan in the fourth One Day International at the DSC Cricket Stadium in Dubai.

Graham Iefvion Burgess is a former first-class cricketer who made over 450 appearances for Somerset County Cricket Club between 1966 and 1980. A right-arm medium pace bowler and a right-handed lower middle-order hitter, Burgess is described by Cricinfo as "a good old-fashioned county professional". After his retirement from professional cricket, Burgess qualified as a first-class umpire, and stood in over 500 county cricket matches between 1990 and 2008, when he retired. He also umpired a number of international matches, including Youth Test matches, Youth One Day Internationals and Women's One Day Internationals.

Mathew Dimond is a former English cricketer who made played for Somerset County Cricket Club between 1994 and 1997. Early in his career, he toured the West Indies with the England Under-19 cricket team, playing three Tests and one One Day International at Under-19 level.
