Matthew Golding (born 1985) is a Canadian ballet dancer and was a principal dancer with the Royal Ballet and a principal with the Dutch National Ballet (Het Nationale Ballet) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Golding was born in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan, where he started dancing at age eight.
He began his professional ballet training at 14, at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, then moved on to the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington DC, where he studied in class of Vladimir Djouloukhadze on a full scholarship for two years. At 16, Golding received the prestigious Prix de Lausanne, which gave him the opportunity to study at The Royal Ballet School in London, where he graduated with honors. Golding also won the Youth America Grand Prix in New York in 2002.
Golding joined ABT's Studio Company in September 2003 and the main company as an apprentice in April 2004. [1]
He joined the Royal Ballet as a Principal Dancer in February 2014 [2] but left the company in 2017. [3] Since then, Golding has been a guest artist with the Hong Kong Ballet playing Conrad in Le Corsaire. [4]

He celebrated his farewell after 17 years at The Royal Ballet, dancing his last performance in November 2015 in Carmen, which he both choreographed and starred in.

John Meehan is an Australian ballet director, choreographer, professor, and retired ballet dancer. He was educated at the Anglican Church Grammar School in Brisbane and studied at the Australian Ballet School. Meehan joined the Australian Ballet in 1970 and was promoted to principal dancer in 1974, creating roles in new works by Glen Tetley, John Butler, Garth Welch, Sir Robert Helpmann and Gillian Lynne as well as the role of Count Danilo in Ronald Hynd's The Merry Widow. In 1977 he performed as Guest Artist with American Ballet Theatre (ABT) joining the company as Principal Dancer in the fall of that year. He also danced as guest artist with The Boston Ballet, The National Ballet of Canada and the New York City Ballet.
