Cumnock is a town and former civil parish located in East Ayrshire, Scotland. The town sits at the confluence of the Glaisnock Water and the Lugar Water. There are three neighbouring housing projects which lie just outside the town boundaries, Craigens, Logan and Netherthird, with the former ironworks settlement of Lugar also just outside the town, contributing to a population of around 13,000 in the immediate locale. A new housing development, Knockroon, was granted planning permission on 9 December 2009 by East Ayrshire Council.

Busia is a county in the former Western Province of Kenya. Kariobangi is a low-income residential estate in northeastern Nairobi. It consists of both apartments and slum-type dwellings. The name Kariobangi is believed to have come from an English phrase "Carry your bags" that was used by a white settler during the colonial period, that African natives mispronounced. It is split into two parts, Kariobangi North and Kariobangi South. The northern part was constructed first, with first buildings built in 1961. Kariobangi North is part of the Embakasi North electoral constituency. Kariobangi South is in the Embakasi West constituency. The village has one private primary school(St. Paul's Digital Junior Academy); a hospital will open soon.
Jael Mbogo is a Kenyan social worker, women rights campaigner and politician. Her parents hail from Ugenya, Sidindi; but she is married in Gem, Siaya. She founded the Forum for the Restoration of Democracy, one of the early political parties in Kenya in East Africa. She was the first female shorthand typist employed to work at the City Council of Nairobi in the capital of Kenya.
