Biography

Mauro Crismanich was born in Corrientes, Corrientes Province, into a Croatian immigrant family Crismanich (Croatian : Krizmanić). [1] [2] His brother, Sebastian is also a well-known taekwondo practitioner who won the gold medal in the men's 80 kg division at the 2012 Summer Olympics. [3] [4]

Vaughn Scott is a male Taekwondo fighter who represented New Zealand at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London in the Men's 80kg weight class. He lost his first round fight to Argentine Sebastián Crismanich by a score of 9–5. Because Crismanich went on to win the gold medal, Scott was included in the repechage and lost his fight to Afghan Nesar Ahmad Bahave by a score of 11–6, and was eliminated from the Olympic tournament.

Vezmar also trained full-time for TK Metalac in Zagreb, under head coach and master Ivica Klaić.

The men's 80 kg competition of the taekwondo events at the 2015 Pan American Games took place on July 21 at the Mississauga Sports Centre. The defending Pan American Games champion was Sebastián Crismanich of the Argentina, who was injured and did not compete.
