The Mayak mine is a large copper mine located in the center of Russia in Krasnoyarsk Krai. Mayak represents one of the largest copper reserve in Russia and in the world having estimated reserves of 456.7 million tonnes of ore grading 2.05% copper. [1]

It lies 35 km (22 mi) south of the international border near Nogales, Arizona. Buenavista mine represents one of the largest copper reserves in Mexico and in the world. As of 2013, it had estimated reserves of 36 million tonnes of ore grading 0.69% copper, 3.3% zinc and 33.4 million oz of silver. Cananea represents one of the largest copper reserves in Mexico and in the world, having estimated reserves of 4.52 billion tonnes of ore with a grade of 0.42% copper.
