Mazhavillinattam Vare (Malayalam : മഴവില്ലിനറ്റം വരെ; translation: Till the End of the Rainbow) is a Malayalam–language sports and musical film co-written and directed by Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri. The screenplay is written by T.A. Razaq based on the story by Kaithapram.  It will be the directorial debut of Kaithapram, a noted poet, writer, lyricist, composer and actor from Malayalam cinema.  It stars Abbas Hasan and Archana Jose Kavi in the lead roles, with Sai Kumar, Salim Kumar, Madhu, Nedumudi Venu, Krishna and Kaviyoor Ponnamma playing other prominent roles.  Cricketers Syed Kirmani, Kapil Dev, Sreesanth, Robin Singh, Roger Binny, and J. K. Mahendra appear in cameo roles.  Produced by A. The film is about the life-changing journey of a young Pakistani cricketer (Abbas Hasan) and a college student (Archana Kavi) who is an ardent admirer of him.  Principal photography of the film began in September 2010, and is being completed from Kannur and Thalassery, Kerala.  It is to be distributed by Sree Gokulam Films. 
The film's protagonist is Yassin Mubarak Azad, a Pakistani cricketer who comes to Kerala on a mission. Pakistani fast bowler Mohammed Asif was originally cast in this role but was replaced when he was found involved in a match fixing scandal.  Kaithapram then signed Pakistani batsman Mohammad Hafeez in the role.  He was also replaced due to his busy cricket schedules.  Kaithapram's final choice was Abbas Hasan, a Canadian-born, Paris-raised, and London-based Pakistani singer.  Hasan is on his acting debut through this film. Malayalee cricketer Sreesanth was also reportedly considered for playing an important role.  After Sreesanth was arrested on charges of spot-fixing in the Indian Premier League, Kaithapram announced that he would be cutting out those scenes featuring the cricketer from the film. 
The film's music is by Deepankuran. The soundtrack album was launched by actor Mammootty on 3 January 2011, at Gokulam Auditorium, Kochi. 
Ajith Kumar is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Tamil cinema. To date, he has starred in over 60 films, and his awards include four Vijay Awards, three Cinema Express Awards, three Filmfare Awards South and three Tamil Nadu State Film Awards. In addition to his acting, Ajith is also a sports car racer and participated in the MRF Racing series (2010). He became a race car driver, competing in circuits around India in places such as Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi. He is one among very few Indians to race in the International arena and in Formula championships. Based on the annual earnings of Indian celebrities, he was included in the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list three times.
Kandukondain Kandukondain is a 2000 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film directed and co-written by Rajiv Menon. Based on Jane Austen's 1811 novel Sense and Sensibility, it features an ensemble cast of Mammootty, Ajith Kumar, Tabu, Aishwarya Rai and Abbas. Shalini, also known as Baby Shalini, is a former Indian child artist and actress who predominantly worked in Malayalam and Tamil films. During the 80s, Shalini was the most successful child artist in the Malayalam film industry. After taking a brief hiatus from child acting, Shalini made a come back in 1997 through Malayalam and Tamil Language films as a lead heroine. Abbas's music reflects his varied background with desi and middle-eastern influences, and he sings in English, Urdu, Hindi and French.

Madhu Kaithapram was an Indian film director who worked primarily in the Malayalam film industry based in Kerala. He made his directorial debut with the feature film Ekantham in 2006 that won him the National Film Award for the best debutant director and followed it up with the critically acclaimed Madhya Venal (2009) and the family-drama Orma Mathram (2011). His last venture Velli Velichathil was released on 19 September 2014. He died on 29 December 2014. He was under treatment for diabetes.
