McKenzie Kate Westmore (born April 26, 1977) is an American actress. She is best known for having played the role of Sheridan Crane in the television series Passions from 1999 to 2008 and for being the host of Face Off from 2011 to 2018.

Early life

Westmore was born April 26, 1977, in San Fernando, California. She is part of the Westmore family, known for their achievements in film makeup. She is the daughter of makeup artists Marion Christine Bergeson and Michael Westmore. [1] She attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts as a music major and graduated in 1995. [2]

Career

Westmore made her acting debut at three years of age in the 1980 film Raging Bull as the daughter of Robert De Niro's character. [3] She is best known for playing Sheridan Crane in the television soap opera Passions from 1999 to 2008. [4] From 2011 to 2018, Westmore served as the host of the Syfy television series Face Off , a reality competition show featuring makeup artists competing for $100,000. [5]

Westmore has appeared in multiple pieces of Star Trek media, including Star Trek: The Next Generation , Star Trek: Deep Space Nine , Star Trek: Voyager , Star Trek: Enterprise , and Star Trek: Insurrection . [6]

Personal life

McKenzie Westmore was married to Seven Volpone from 2002 to 2011. Their divorce was finalized in 2012. [7] Their son Maddox was born in 2006. [8]

On October 11, 2015, Westmore married former Face Off judge Patrick Tatopoulos. The couple met while working together on the first season of the show. The wedding ceremony was held at Chateau Le Dome at Saddlerock Ranch Winery in Malibu, California. [9] Westmore has a pet Italian Greyhound. [10]

In 2019, Westmore revealed that she has Tourette syndrome, having been diagnosed with the genetic condition at age 10. [11]

McKenzie Westmore is the founder and creative director of Westmore Beauty, a cosmetics brand. [12]

Briefly, she was portrayed by Shannon Sturges when Westmore was on sick leave in 2005. She was also briefly portrayed by Kam Heskin twice - once in 2006, when Westmore was out on maternity leave, and again in 2008, while Westmore was out sick. In early flashback sequences, Sheridan was portrayed by Sara Paxton. Sheridan's history was retconned in the series, changing her flashback sequence age from 12yrs to 6yrs. During this time she was played by Rylee Fansler. She is often seen as a "poor little rich girl", but her love for Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald made her true emotions rise.

Eve Russell is a fictional character on the American soap opera Passions, which aired on NBC from 1999 to 2007 and on DirecTV from 2007 to 2008. Created by the soap's head writer, James E. Reilly, Eve was played by Tracey Ross for the series' entire run. In 2003, actresses Amanda Maiden and Kimberly Kevon Williams played the character in flashbacks to her childhood and her time as a nightclub singer. Kam Erika Heskin is an American actress. She began her career playing Caitlin Deschanel on the NBC daytime soap opera Sunset Beach (1998–1999), before appearing in films Planet of the Apes (2001) and Catch Me If You Can (2002). Heskin went on in 2003 to play Elizabeth Bennet in an independent film Pride & Prejudice: A Latter-Day Comedy, Robin in Charmed (2004), and Paige Morgan in The Prince and Me film franchise (2006–2010).

Montague "Monte" Westmore was a Hollywood make-up artist, the eldest of six sons of George Westmore. He worked for both the Famous Players–Lasky studio and Selznick International Pictures. He was the head of the makeup department at Selznick and worked on films including Gone with the Wind (1939) and Rebecca (1940). His death from a heart attack following a tonsillectomy has been credited to the heavy workload on Gone with the Wind. He had three sons, Marvin, Michael, and Monty, all of whom also became make-up artists.

Face Off: Game Face is an American reality television game show on the Syfy cable network in which make-up artists compete against one another to create character make-ups such as those found in sci-fi and horror films. Face Off: Game Face is a spin-off of Syfy's Face Off and is similar in format to Food Network's Chopped. Each episode features four Face Off all-stars who compete head-to-head through three rounds with one artist being eliminated after each challenge until a final winner is chosen and receives US$10,000. The challenges are reminiscent of the Foundation Challenges - short, makeup focused challenges - that preceded the main challenges in Face Off which were phased out in the later seasons. The show's host, actress McKenzie Westmore is joined by Academy Award-winning makeup artist Ve Neill and Rick Baker as the series judges with a third guest judge that rotates each episode. Special effects makeup artist Glenn Hetrick, and Emmy Award-winning makeup artist Eryn Krueger Mekash have served as guest judges.
