Meagan Best (born 26 April 2002) is a Barbadian squash player. [1] She is currently considered as the leading squash player to represent Barbados at international level. Her highest career ranking was 208 in January 2018 and is currently ranked 243 as of April 2018. [2]

Career

She rose to prominence in her squash career after winning the Girl's U17 category at the US Junior Open squash championship in 2017. [3] Meagan also became the first squash player from a Caribbean nation to win a US Junior Open squash championship title. [4] [5]

Meagan Best was also named as one of the members of the Barbados contingent for the 2018 Commonwealth Games just at the age of fifteen and she was also the flagbearer for Barbados at the 2018 Commonwealth Games during the opening ceremony of the 2018 Commonwealth Games Parade of Nations. [6] [7] She was scheduled to compete in the women's singles and mixed doubles events at the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games.

She also went onto quality for the plate final event at the women's singles event during the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games. [8] [9] Meagan also became the first Barbadian squash player to qualify for final round of an international squash tournament. [10] In the plate final of the women's singles during the 2018 Commonwealth Games she defeated Mihiliya Methsarani of Sri Lanka 3-1 to secure the plate title. [11]

Marlene West is a Jamaican-born squash player who has represented both Jamaica and Cayman Islands at the international competitions. She initially pursued her career in swimming and water polo before switching to squash. She has competed at the Commonwealth Games on five occasions representing Jamaica and Cayman Islands in two different time intervals. She is also a four time Cayman Islands national champion in the women's singles and she is regarded as one of the best squash players to have represented Cayman Islands. She has claimed medals in international events even after the age of 40's. She achieved her highest PSA career ranking of 71 in May 2010 during the 2010 PSA World Tour.

Rieah Holder is a Barbadian netball player who represents Barbados internationally and plays in the positions of wing attack and centre. She made her maiden World Cup appearance representing Barbados at the 2019 Netball World Cup. She also represented Barbados at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which also marked her maiden Commonwealth Games appearance.

Shonte Seale is a Barbadian netball player who represents Barbados internationally and plays in the positions of wing defense, goal defense and goal keeper. She made her maiden World Cup appearance representing Barbados at the 2019 Netball World Cup. She also represented Barbados at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which also marked her maiden Commonwealth Games appearance.

Shonica Wharton is a Barbadian netball player who represents Barbados internationally and plays in the positions of goal shooter and goal keeper. She competed at the Netball World Cup on two occasions in 2015 and 2019. She also represented Barbados at the Commonwealth Games in 2014 and 2018.

Alex Haydon also known as Alexandra Haydon is an Australian professional squash player. She made her maiden Commonwealth Games appearance representing Australia at the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
