Mihiliya Methsarani (born 15 January 1998) is a Sri Lankan female squash player. She has represented Sri Lanka in international competitions such as Asian Youth Games, South Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and has won medals. Currently, she is considered as Sri Lanka's best squash player. [1] [2] [3]

Methsarani has won the National Squash Championship of Sri Lanka six times (2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018). [4] Her secondary education and training was at Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya.

Mihiliya Methsarani qualified to compete for Sri Lanka at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, which was her second Commonwealth Games appearance for Sri Lanka. [5] During the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games, she became the first Sri Lankan squash player ever to qualify for a final round of an international squash tournament after qualifying for the plate final round during the women's singles event. [6] [7] In the plate final of the women's singles during the 2018 Commonwealth Games, she lost to Meagan Best of Barbados 1–3. [8]

In 2018, Mihiliya enrolled at Mount Holyoke College, where she plays on the intercollegiate squash team, and is known by the name of Mihiliya Kalahe Arachchige.

Dinusha Hansani Gomes, also known as Hansani Gomes, is a Sri Lankan female weightlifter. She was named as one of the members of the Sri Lankan contingent at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and claimed a bronze medal in the women's 48kg event on the opening day of the competition on 5 April 2018, which was also the second medal earned by Sri Lanka at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and was also the second medal secured by the Sri Lankan contingent in weightlifting category. Dimuth Akalanka Peiris also known as Dimuth Peiris is a Sri Lankan male swimmer and a national record holder in swimming. He represented Sri Lanka at the 2018 Commonwealth Games and competed in swimming competitions. In August 2018, he became the first ever Sri Lankan student to sit for a Sri Lankan GCE A/L examinations outside Sri Lanka as he was granted special permission to write A/L exams in Jakarta, Indonesia just prior to his preparations for the 2018 Asian Games. He represented Sri Lanka at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in October 2018 which was held in Argentina. He also went onto represent Sri Lanka at the 2019 World Aquatics Championships as the only male swimmer.

Veera Samiyel Chanithma Sinaly is a Sri Lankan professional squash player. She is also the current national champion in women's singles in the sport of squash. She achieved her highest career PSA world rankings of 161 in November 2023.
