Media Capital Technologies (MCT) is an American media and entertainment finance company based in West Hollywood, California.
Media Capital Technologies (MCT) was founded in 2019 by Christopher Woodrow, who serves as chairman. [1] [2] Michael Lambert, former chairman of Lambert Media Group, co-chairman of Village Roadshow Pictures, and president of domestic television at 20th Century Fox, joined the company in 2020 as a co-founder and serves as vice chairman. MassMutual acquired an interest in MCT in 2021. [3] Raj Singh joined the company in 2023 and serves as CEO.
In April 2023, MCT announced a multi-year slate co-financing agreement with Lionsgate. [4] The company invested in 20 films with the studio from 2023 to 2025, including Ballerina , Flight Risk , The Long Walk , The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare , and Saw X . [4]
In March 2025, MCT, in a joint initiative with filmmaker Eli Roth, launched The Horror Section. Woodrow serves as chairman of the company. [5] [2] The first production, Ice Cream Man , was written and directed by Roth and sold to international distributors, including StudioCanal. [6] [7] The film is scheduled for theatrical release in 2026. The company also announced plans to co-finance and produce Roth’s subsequent film, Don't Go in That House, Bitch!, featuring Snoop Dogg as a producer and also a writer and performer on the original soundtrack. In May 2025, MCT partnered with London-based financier Head Gear Films to provide investment capital. Head Gear will use the capital to deploy senior-secured loans. MCT will invest alongside global asset manager Allianz Global Investors and Compton Ross. [9]
In August 2025, MCT launched a U.S. theatrical distribution subsidiary, Row K Entertainment. [3] Woodrow and Singh serve as co-founders and co-chairman of the company, Row K hired Megan Colligan to serve as president. [3] [10] The company announced the acquisition of four films the following month, including Dead Man's Wire , Charlie Harper , Cliffhanger , and Poetic License . [3]
In November 2025, MCT appointed Jordan Lichtman as chief operating officer and general counsel. [8]
