She died of a cardiac arrest on 6 April 2011 in Chennai.

Nitham Oru Vaanam is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language romantic drama film written and directed by Ra. Karthik in his directorial debut. The film stars Ashok Selvan and Ritu Varma with Aparna Balamurali and Shivathmika Rajashekar in the principal roles. Gopi Sundar composed the film's music and cinematography was performed by Vidhu Ayyana. The film was announced in January 2017, but went through a change of cast, and was relaunched in June 2021. The film was released on 4 November 2022. Despite a positive critical reception, the film was an average grosser.

The film was released in theatres on 31 December 2021.
Veerapandiyapuram is a 2022 Indian Tamil-language action film written and directed by Suseenthiran and produced by Lendi Studio. The film stars Jai and Meenakshi Govindarajan with a supporting cast including Aakanksha Singh, Bala Saravanan, Kaali Venkat, Harish Uthaman, Sharath Lohithaswa and Jayaprakash. The film was released in theatres on 17 February 2022.
Brigida Saga is an Indian actress known for her work in Tamil-language content. She is known for her role as Pavi Teacher in the streaming series Aaha Kalyanam. She also acted in the films Ayogya, Master, and Velan. She notably played a nude character in Iravin Nizhal (2022). She played the lead role in the Telugu film Sindhooram (2023). Regarding her performance in the film, a critic wrote that "Brigida Saga as Sirisha was a revelation, and she portrayed her role with grace and ease".
