Meghan Kilcoyne is an American politician in Massachusetts representing 12th Worcester district in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. [1] [2]
Kilcoyne grew up in Sterling,Massachusetts and went to Houghton Elementary School and Chocksett Middle School. She graduated from Wachusett Regional High School and Stonehill College with a B.A. in History. [3]
Kilcoyne first won election in 2020,defeating Republican Susan E. Smiley and succeeding fellow Democrat Harold Naughton Jr.,who she had worked for since 2012. [3] She is the first woman elected to the 12th Worcester district. [4] Kilcoyne won a three-way Democratic primary in 2020. [5]
In 2022,Kilcoyne won reelection over Republican Michael Vulcano,securing 60 percent of the general election vote. [6] She was unopposed in the primary election.
