Megumi Field (born October 15, 2005) [1] is an American synchronized swimmer who competed in the 2024 Olympic Games, winning silver in the team event and placing 11th in the duet.
Field began synchronized swimming when she was five years old. [2] In 2010, Field and her mother Naomi moved from Wilmington, Delaware to Cerritos, California, so she could train at University of California, Los Angeles. [3] [4]
Field won three silver medals at the Junior Pan American Games in 2021. [3] [5] In 2024, she qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics in artistic swimming women's duet and team events.
She is committed to Stanford University. [6]
Synchronized swimming, also known as artistic swimming, is a sport where swimmers perform a synchronized choreographed routine, accompanied by music. The sport is governed internationally by World Aquatics. It has traditionally been a women's sport, although FINA introduced a new mixed gender duet competition that included one male swimmer in each duet at the 2015 World Aquatics Championships and European Aquatics introduced men's individual events at the 2022 European Aquatics Championships. From 2024, men are able to compete in the team event at the Olympics.

Dominika Kopcik is a Canadian synchronized swimmer. She began synchronized swimming at the age of 10. At 14, she became a national champion, earning her a spot to compete in the 2003 Canada Games, where she won in three categories. By the next spring season, Kopcik had won the national championships again and made her first Canadian National team. Kopcik then competed at the 2004 FINA World Junior Swimming Championships.
Lara Teixeira is a Brazilian synchronized swimmer. She competed in the women's duet at the 2008 and 2012 Summer Olympics and was part of the Brazilian team at the 2016 Summer Olympics. Her partner in 2008 and 2012 was Nayara Figueria. The team of Teixeira and Figueria were known for their innovative choreography and irreverent costumes. In total, Teixeira competed at 3 Olympic Games, 5 World Championships and 3 Pan American Games.

Fortier was named the 1976 world champion in synchronized swimming for her achievements that year and was a torch bearer for the opening ceremony of the Montreal Summer Olympics. She retired in 1977 aged just 18. Fortier is an inductee of Canada's Sports Hall of Fame and the Aquatics Hall of Fame.
Emily Armstrong is a Canadian synchronized swimmer. Armstrong won a gold medal in the team artistic swimming category at the 2019 Pan American Games. She competed at the 2018 FINA World Junior Synchronised Swimming Championships where she placed 6th in solo free, 8th in solo technical, and 8th in duet technical. Armstrong was a training member of Canada's national team in the lead-up to the delayed 2020 Summer Olympics which were postponed as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
