Melvin Giovanie Lim (born 23 May 1986) is an Indonesian actor. He began his career starring in the Indonesian horror film "Lawang Sewu: Kuntilanak's Vengeance".
Giovanie began his movie career in 2007 by starring in the horror film "Lawang Sewu: Kuntilanak's Vengeance" produced by MD Pictures. [1] In 2008, he has also starred in the horror film "The Ghost Train of Manggarai" directed by Nayato Fio Nuala, [2] and the comedy film "Vote for Love" alongside Nadia Saphira and Jessica Iskandar where he played as Anto, a campus journalist with annoying nature. [3] Other than big screen movies, Giovanie has also played many roles in television film (TV Movie) and appeared as a model in the music videos of favorite Indonesian and Malaysian bands and singers, such as D'Masiv, Anuar Zain, and many other.

The Kuntilanak, also called Pontianak, or Yakshi is a mythological creature in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. It is similar to Langsuir in other Southeast Asia regions. The Pontianak usually takes the form of a pregnant woman who died during childbirth. Alternatively, it is often described as a vengeful female spirit. Another form of the Pontianak refers to the ghost or white lady of Southeast Asian folklore.

Along the road home after partying, they stopped by Lawang Sewu, a supposedly haunted building in Semarang, to relieve themselves. One of the girls went inside the building to avoid the boys and didn't come back. When they start to find their missing friend, the night turns into a nightmare for other six, who find themselves haunted and terrorized by a Kuntilanak.

The film tells a story about the belief of a mother who preserve the spirit of her stillbirth child by using attributes. Strange events begin to emerge when she temporarily stays with her eldest daughter, Mita, and Ferry, her son-in-law who does not accept her belief and disallow her to bring the ambar child's attributes into their house.
