Memorial Park is a 72-acre park located in Athens, Georgia. The park is home to the Bear Hollow Zoo and the Birchmore Trail. The park also features the Athens Creative Theater, a playground, dog park, outdoor basketball courts, swimming pool, picnic areas, and a fishing pond. [1]
The Bear Hollow Zoo located in Memorial Park is a zoo with animals that are non-releasable to the wild. The zoo's most famous residents are the American black bears DJ, Athena, and Yonah. Bear Hollow also includes white-tailed deer, an American alligator, North American river otters, great horned owls, and a reptile house. [2]
The Birchmore Trail is a 1.25 mile trail named for Fred Birchmore because of the 18 foot tall wall Fred built whilst he was in his 70's. [3] The wall is dubbed "The Great Wall of Happy Hollow".
The Athens Creative Theater is a performing arts center that opened in 1966. It is non-profit and a division of the Athens-Clarke County Leisure Services. [4]
The park also includes a fishing pond, playground, dog park, and more. The pond also includes ducks, geese, and many different types of turtles.

Reed Bingham State Park is a 1,613 acre (6.53 km²) Georgia state park in Colquitt County and Cook County located 5 miles east of Ellenton. The park surrounds a 375 acre (1.52 km²) lake that is a tourist attraction in southern Georgia. Inside the park, visitors can hike the 3.5 mile (5.6 km) long Coastal Plains Nature Trail, which goes through a baldcypress swamp, a pitcher plant bog, and sandhill area. The park also contains many animals, including the threatened gopher tortoise and the indigo snake. In addition, the park offers camping and fishing with special ponds for kids that are only open on specific dates.
Victoria Bryant State Park is a 502-acre (2.03 km2) Georgia state park located near Franklin Springs. Nestled in the rolling hills of Georgia's Piedmont plateau, this park offers facilities ranging from picnic sites and a swimming pool to an 18-hole golf course. The North Fork of the Broad River flows through the park, adding several water hazards to the course. The park also offers a short nature trail plus a long perimeter trail that takes hikers through hardwood forests. In addition, the park is home to many species of birds, plants, and reptiles.

Overton Park is a large, 342-acre (138 ha) public park in Midtown Memphis, Tennessee. The Manasquan Reservoir is a source of water for municipalities and utilities, as well as a 1,204-acre (4.87 km2) park, located in Howell Township, in Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. The reservoir doubles as a park that is part of the Monmouth County Park System. The park has trails, a visitor's center, a nature/environmental center, a boat launching area and several dikes for fishing, among its facilities. The reservoir itself, which is dammed from the Manasquan River, is operated by the New Jersey Water Supply Authority, which is a part of the much larger Raritan Basin Watershed. The nature trails circling around the reservoir are what makes this county park as one of the most popular hiking destinations in Central New Jersey, as the park receives over one million visitors a year. It is reachable by car and there are five parking lots, including one for vehicles hauling trailers. The park's trails are open to walkers, runners, hikers, bicyclists and equestrians.
The Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks are a group of 19 metropolitan parks in and around Columbus, Ohio. They are officially organized into the Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District. The Metro Parks system was organized in 1945 under Ohio Revised Code Section 1545 as a separate political division of the state of Ohio. The Metro Parks are overseen by a Board of Park Commissioners consisting of three citizens appointed to three-year terms without compensation by the Judge of the Probate Court of Franklin County, Ohio. The Board in turn appoints an Executive Director responsible for operations and management of the parks.

Columbia Park is a public park located in Benton County, Washington, United States. Chehaw Park is a park and zoo located in Albany, Georgia. The park was originally opened as Chehaw State Park in 1937, and currently covers 800 acres (320 ha). The Wild Animal Park was designed by naturalist Jim Fowler of television's Wild Kingdom. Fowler is originally from Albany, Georgia. It was opened in 1997, and features boardwalks in the cypress swamps that take visitors through natural habitat exhibits.
Thompson Park is a 675-acre park and 925-acre nature reservation. The entire park is connected to sports fields operated by Monroe Township High School, and located in the municipalities of Monroe Township and Jamesburg in Middlesex County, New Jersey. It is the largest park in the Middlesex County Park System, and features Lake Manalapan at its center.
