The Men's field hockey Qualifying Tournament for the 2008 Summer Olympics were qualification tournaments to determine the final three spots for the 2008 Summer Olympics. The qualifying tournaments, which involved 18 teams divided into three groups, with three separate qualifying tournaments, were held in New Zealand, Chile and Japan, at different times in 2008. Only the winners of each qualifying tournament earned a berth in the 2008 Summer Olympics.

Qualification for the men's tournament at the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Eight teams qualified for the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2010 Winter Olympics. The top six teams in the IIHF World Ranking after the 2008 Women's World Ice Hockey Championships received automatic berths into the Ice Hockey event. Lower ranked teams had an opportunity to qualify for the event. Teams ranked 13th and below were divided into two groups where they played in a first qualification round in September 2008. The two group winners from the round advanced to the second qualification round, where the teams ranked 7th through 12th joined them. In the second qualifying round, played in November 2008, the teams were again divided into two groups. The two group winners China and Slovakia advanced to the Olympic Ice Hockey Tournament.

The 2010 Women's Hockey World Cup Qualifiers refers to three qualification tournaments for the 2010 Women's Hockey World Cup. Three events were held between March and June 2010 in the United States, Russia and Chile. The winners of each tournament qualified for the final tournament.

The 2009 Men's Hockey World Cup Qualifiers were the 12th edition of the Hockey World Cup qualification tournament. Three events were held between October and November 2009 in France, New Zealand and Argentina and only the winner of each would earn a berth to play in the 2010 World Cup, to be held in New Delhi, India.

The women's field hockey tournament at the 2004 Summer Olympics was the 7th edition of the field hockey event for women at the Summer Olympic Games. It was held over an eleven-day period beginning on 16 August, and culminating with the medal finals on 26 August. All games were played at the hockey centre within the Hellinikon Olympic Complex in Athens, Greece.

The qualification for the 2016 Women's Olympic volleyball tournament was held from 22 August 2015 to 22 May 2016. Twelve teams qualified, the hosts, the FIVB World Cup champion and runner-up, five continental Olympic qualification tournament champions, and four teams from the World Olympic qualification tournament respectively. Teams already qualified for the event were not eligible to play in the following qualification tournaments.

Qualification for the men's tournament at the 2018 Winter Olympics was determined by the IIHF World Ranking following the 2015 Men's World Ice Hockey Championships. The host along with the top eight teams in the world ranking received automatic berths into the Olympics, while all other teams had an opportunity to qualify for the remaining three spots in the Olympics. This was the fourth time world rankings were used but the first time that the championships three years prior was used as the final determination.

Twelve teams qualified for the men's field hockey at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

Twelve teams qualified for the women's field hockey at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Each of the Continental Champions from five confederations received an automatic berth. Japan as the host nation qualified automatically. In addition, the remaining six nations will be determined by an Olympic qualification event. As hosts Japan also won the Asian Games title, a seventh quota place was added to the Olympic qualification event.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships</span> Gymnastics competition

The 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Stuttgart, Germany from October 4–13, 2019. The championships took place at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle, and was the third time the city of Stuttgart hosted the event following the 1989 and 2007 editions, and the fifth time Germany hosted it.
