There had Stylianos, who was only 19 years old, still belonging pay dearly, for he lost both fights, he had to deny prematurely. In the 1972 European Championship in Katowice but Sylianos already achieved three wins and reached a good 6th place. At the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972 Stylianos go again three wins, including one over the Soviet Favorites Jemal Megrelischwili which he came on the 7th Place.

Florya Metin Oktay Facilities, is the training ground and academy base of the Turkish football club Galatasaray SK. The Florya training camp land was brought during the presidency of Suphi Batur, built and opened during Professor Ali Uras presidency and was expanded and improved during both Ali Tanriyar and Alp Yalman presidencies. It was opened on August 1, 1981. Located in Florya, Istanbul and named after the club's legendary goalscorer Metin Oktay, the sports complex covers an area of 110,224 m2 (1,186,440 sq ft). It is used for first team and youth team training and matches, as well as by many of the other sports teams at the club, including those for basketball and volleyball. Facility is fully operational.

The Men's Greco-Roman Featherweight at the 1968 Summer Olympics as part of the wrestling program were held at the Insurgentes Ice Rink. The featherweight was the third-lightest weight class, allowing wrestlers up to 63 kilograms.

Metin Kurt was a Turkish football player, who played as a winger, and manager. He was nicknamed Çizgi Metin because he drew opponents towards him when he played. Kurt spent most of his career in the Turkish Süper Lig, and is best known for his stint with Galatasaray where he won three consecutive Süper Lig titles.
