Metin Akdurak (born 21 February 1936) is a Turkish sailor. He competed in the 1964 Summer Olympics. [1]

Following the Olympics it was converted to a football stadium. Its current tenant is K Beerschot VA, a Belgian football club. There are no remnants of the Olympic athletics track.

Florya Metin Oktay Facilities, is the training ground and academy base of the Turkish football club Galatasaray SK. The Florya training camp land was brought during the presidency of Suphi Batur, built and opened during Professor Ali Uras presidency and was expanded and improved during both Ali Tanriyar and Alp Yalman presidencies. It was opened on August 1, 1981. Located in Florya, Istanbul and named after the club's legendary goalscorer Metin Oktay, the sports complex covers an area of 110,224 m2 (1,186,440 sq ft). It is used for first team and youth team training and matches, as well as by many of the other sports teams at the club, including those for basketball and volleyball. Facility is fully operational.
Metin Şahin is a former European champion Turkish taekwondo athlete and served as the President of the Turkish Taekwondo Federation between 2003 and 2024. At the same time, he was appointed as dean of Selçuk University Faculty of Sports Sciences. 2019.[1]
