Michael Adam (born 9 December 1984) is a German politician. He has been District Administrator (Landrat) of Regen since 2011.

Political career

He became the youngest mayor in Germany after winning the mayoral election in Bodenmais, Bavaria in 2008 at the age of 23. [2] He was elected District Administrator of Regen on 27 November 2011. [2] The seat had been held by the Christian Social Union for the previous fifty years. [2] He did not run again for election in 2017 because he wanted to continue his studies of governance and public policy at the University of Passau. [3]
