Michael Benjamin Washington (born June 7, 1979) is an American actor known for his roles in American Auto , 100 Questions , and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt . [1] [2] He has also performed in Broadway productions of The Boys in the Band, Funny Girl, Mamma Mia!, La Cage aux Folles, [3] and others. [4] [5]

Early and personal life

Washington was born in Dallas, Texas on June 7, 1979. [1] He is a YoungArts alumnus. [6] In 1997, he was named a Presidential Scholar of the Arts as part of the 1997 U.S Presidential Scholars Program. [7] Afterwards, he received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from New York University Tisch School of the Arts, with a Journalism minor. [8]
