Michael D. Kohn (born December 28, 1954 in Plainfield, New Jersey) [1] is a founding partner of the Washington, D.C. law firm Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto, where he specializes in whistleblower protection law.
A graduate of Rutgers University (B.S. in biology), he received his Juris Doctor degree from the Antioch School of Law. After graduating from Antioch, he served as Director of Legal Ethics for the Government Accountability Project. Kohn co-founded the law firm now known as Kohn, Kohn & Colapinto with his brother Stephen in 1988.
The original focus of the law firm was defending nuclear power industry whistleblowers, although the firm serves whistleblowers in other areas. KKC's most notable client was Linda Tripp. [2]
Kohn serves as president and general counsel for the National Whistleblower Center and is an attorney-trustee for the National Whistleblower Legal Defense and Education Fund. [3]
The University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law is the law school of the University of the District of Columbia, a public historically black land-grant university in Washington, D.C. It is named after David A. The 2021 Senate and House resolutions designating July 30 as National Whistleblower Appreciation Day were passed in July, with Senators Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Ron Wyden (D-OR) leading the Senate resolution effort and Representatives Jackie Speier (D-CA), Carolyn Maloney (D-NY), and Kathleen Rice (D-NY) leading the passage of the House resolution.

Michael Stephen Wilensky is a politician and attorney who lives in Dunwoody, Georgia. A member of the Democratic Party, he represented District 79 in the Georgia House of Representatives, which is 100% in Dekalb County. State House District 79 consists of all of Dunwoody, part of Doraville, and a small piece of Chamblee. Wilensky defeated the Republican Party opponent, Ken Wright, on November 6, 2018. Wilensky won his second election in 2020 and served a second term. In February 2022, Wilensky decided not to run for reelection.
