SS Maj general Michael Deka Phukan alias Michael Asom (real name Joy Chandra Das) is the current Deputy C-i-c of ULFA (I) since 2020 following the surrender of Drishti Rajkhowa. ^{[1] [2]} Deka Phukan hails from Amlaga village in Sonitpur district and oversees the outfit's camp in Sagaing Region of Myanmar. ^{[3] [4]}
