Michael Fenger

Peter Michael Fenger (born 8 August 1962) is a former Danish handball player who competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics.

He played his club handball with HIK Håndbold. In 1984 he finished fourth with the Denmark men's national handball team in the 1984 Olympic tournament. He played five matches and scored seven goals.

In 2021, he became mayor of Gentofte Municipality. [1] [2]

The handball tournaments at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro was held from 6 to 21 August at the Future Arena in the Barra Olympic Park. The tournaments were won by Denmark in the men's competition and Russia for the women's tournament. The French teams for both competitions finished with the silver medal, and the bronze went to Germany and Norway, respectively.

Gentofte Badminton Klub, also known as GBK is a badminton club in Gentofte, Gentofte Municipality, Copenhagen, Denmark. It is based in Gentofte Sportsby. The club has won more than 100 titles. It experienced its most successful period in the late 1970s and 1980 when it won Europe Cup seven times. Former players include some of Denmark's most successful badminton players, including, Morten Frost, Lene Køppen, Poul-Erik Høyer, Peter Gade and Camilla Martin.

In 1888, the Conservatives won the mayor's position in the municipality for the first time. Since then, the Conservatives had held it. In 2017 they won their 33rd consecutive term, and Hans Toft his 7th term. However, he would not stand in this election.
