Michael Gladis (born August 30, 1977) [1] is an American actor. He played Paul Kinsey in the television series Mad Men ; he appeared in the series' first three seasons, and as a guest star in the show's fifth season.

Early life

Gladis grew up in Farmington, Connecticut, graduating from Farmington High School in 1995. [2] Inspiration for a life of acting originated from the time he spent volunteering for theater productions at Miss Porter's School, the internationally known all-girls school in town, where he knew male actors were needed. [3] [4]

He started his college career at the SUNY School of Art Design at Alfred University before transferring to State University of New York at New Paltz, from which he earned a B.A. in theatre in 1999. [5] [6]

Career

Prior to Mad Men, he played Eugene Rossi in four episodes of Third Watch . He formerly starred in the Adult Swim comedy Eagleheart . Gladis appeared in an episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit titled "Branded" and in an episode of Leverage titled "The 15 Minute Job".

He provided the voice and MotionScan of Dudley Lynch in the game L.A. Noire and was Senior Seaman Yevgeny Borzenkov in the 2002 film K19: The Widowmaker . In 2015, he portrayed Lieutenant Matias in the science fiction action film Terminator Genisys . [7]

Personal life

On July 10, 2016, Gladis got engaged to Beth Behrs [8] and on July 21, 2018, they married at Moose Creek Ranch in Victor, Idaho, just outside Jackson Hole. [9] On June 13, 2022, Behrs announced the birth of their daughter, Emma George Gladis. [10] [11]

The first season of the American television sitcom 2 Broke Girls premiered on CBS from September 19, 2011, and concluded on May 7, 2012. The series was created and executively produced by Michael Patrick King and Whitney Cummings. 2 Broke Girls' first season aired during the 2011–12 television season on Mondays at 8:30 p.m. EST, except the series premiere. While initial reviews were positive, the season garnered mixed reviews from television critics, who praised the lead actresses' chemistry while panning the use of stereotypes and racial content. Terminator Genisys is a 2015 American cyberpunk action film that is the fifth installment in the Terminator franchise. It is a reboot of the franchise, taking the premise of the original film in another direction and ignoring the events depicted in sequels and the TV series. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, who reprises his role as the Terminator. It is directed by Alan Taylor and written by Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier. Along with Schwarzenegger, the film's cast features Jason Clarke, Emilia Clarke, Jai Courtney, J. K. Simmons, Dayo Okeniyi, Matt Smith, Courtney B. Vance, Michael Gladis, Sandrine Holt, and Lee Byung-hun. <i>The Neighborhood</i> (TV series) American television sitcom

The Neighborhood is an American television sitcom created by Jim Reynolds that premiered on CBS on October 1, 2018. The series follows a white Midwestern family as they adjust to moving into a predominantly black neighborhood in Pasadena, California. It stars Max Greenfield, Cedric the Entertainer, Hank Greenspan, Sheaun McKinney, Marcel Spears, Beth Behrs, and Tichina Arnold. In January 2023, the series was renewed for a sixth season, which premiered on February 12, 2024. In April 2024, the series was renewed for a seventh season which premiered on October 21, 2024.
