Ziegler has won a total of fifteen medals in major international competition, including eight golds, five silvers, and two bronzes spanning the World Aquatics and the Pan Pacific Championships. She was a member of the 2012 United States Olympic team, and competed in the 800-meter freestyle event at the 2012 Summer Olympics.

Michael Klueh is an American competition swimmer. He is a four-time medalist at the World Championships. He is also an eight-time medalist at the World University Games. Klueh competed for the University of Texas from 2005 to 2009 where he was a 2009 NCAA champion as a member of the 4x200 yard freestyle relay. He is a former American record holder in the 800 short course meter freestyle and former Texas 5A state high school record-holder in the 500-yard freestyle. Klueh is currently an orthopaedic surgery resident at the University of Michigan Medical School.

He was a member of the 2012 United States Olympic team, placing sixth in the 1500 metre freestyle at those Olympics, as well as the 2016 United States Olympic team, where he earned a silver medal in the same event. He currently holds the American record in the short course 1500 metre freestyle.

He ranked No. 16 in the world and was the slowest qualifier for the final race but won Olympic gold with a time of 3:43.36. Hafnaoui was the only Tunisian to win Olympic gold at Tokyo 2020.

She holds the Oceanian, Commonwealth, and Australian records in the short course 1500-metre freestyle and the Australian record in the short course 800-metre freestyle. She is the first female World Short Course champion in the 1500-metre freestyle, winning the inaugural event for women at the 2022 edition. Over the course of the 2022 World Short Course Championships, she won the gold medal in each of the four events she contested.
