Michael McCullers (born 1971) is an American writer and director.

Early life

A native of Vestavia Hills, Alabama, McCullers attended Indian Springs School which is a private high school in Indian Springs Village, Alabama. [1] He was awarded a National Merit Scholarship.

Career

McCullers began his career as a writer for Saturday Night Live . He co-wrote the scripts for Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me and Austin Powers in Goldmember , from the Austin Powers film series which stars Mike Myers. They are his best known work.

McCullers wrote and directed the 2008 comedy Baby Mama . Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are in the film. [2] In 1999, he signed a deal with New Line Cinema to write comedies. [3]

He wrote the 2017 film The Boss Baby for DreamWorks Animation, and with Genndy Tartakovsky co-wrote Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation (2018) for Sony Pictures Animation. [4]

In 2023, he was brought on to write material for the film Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken .

He will write Shrek 5 for DreamWorks Animation. [5]

Personal life

McCullers lives in Los Angeles [6] with his wife and four children. [7]

"Rude Removal" is an episode in the second season of Cartoon Network's animated television series Dexter's Laboratory. Hanna-Barbera produced it in 1997 as part of the second season, but was left unaired due to foul language. In the segment, Dexter and Dee Dee are accidentally split into two pairs, one polite and one rude, with each respectively having British and New York accents. The latter is depicted as using profanity with bleep censorship. The segment was only screened at some animation festivals before finally being released online by Adult Swim on January 22, 2013.

TVPaint Animation is a 2D paint and digital animation software package developed by TVPaint Developpement SARL based in Lorraine, France. Originally released for Amiga in 1991, version 3.0 (1994) introduced support for other platforms. In 1999, the last Amiga version 3.59 was released as free download. TVPaint Animation currently runs on Mac, Windows, Linux, and Android operating systems.

Fixed is an upcoming American adult animated comedy film being produced and directed by Genndy Tartakovsky, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jon Vitti, and co-produced with Michelle Murdocca. Produced by Sony Pictures Animation, The film features the voices of Adam DeVine, Idris Elba, Kathryn Hahn, Fred Armisen, Bobby Moynihan, and Beck Bennett. The film follows a dog who discovers that he is going to be neutered in the morning. It is the first adult animated film from SPA, as well as their first traditionally animated film.
