Michael Parsberg (born Michael Parsberg-Hansen; 16 September 1974 in Copenhagen) is a Danish trance and house producer and DJ. [1] Parsberg has been the co-producer behind successful Danish acts such as Safri Duo, DJ Encore, Barcode Brothers and Pegboard Nerds, and has remixed numerous of Danish and international artists such as Shakira, Infernal and Aqua. [2]
Airscape is a Belgian trance act composed of Johan Gielen and formerly, Sven Maes. The group also recorded as Svenson & Gielen and several other pseudonyms. The two man group dissolved in 2005, each going solo. In 2009, Airscape was revived by Johan Gielen.
Safri Duo is a Danish electronic percussion duo composed of Uffe Savery and Morten Friis. Initially classically oriented, they later made a track mixing both tribal sound and modern electronica. Released in 2000, "Played-A-Live ", became one of the most popular songs in Europe in 2001. The single and subsequent album, Episode II each sold one million units worldwide, making Safri Duo the most internationally successful Danish act since Aqua.
Episode II is the first mainstream studio album by Safri Duo, a percussion duo from Denmark that released six classical albums before its breakthrough with the Michael Parsberg-produced hit "Played-A-Live", the opening track of the album. It was released on 26 June 2001 and reissued in 2002 with two additional tracks, including a cover version of "Sweet Freedom" with vocals by American R&B/soul singer Michael McDonald. Later the same year a Remix Edition of the album was released, which included an additional disc with remixes by artists such as Airscape, Cosmic Gate and Future Breeze.
Ronny Schneider, better known by his stage names Ronski Speed[ˈʁɔnskiː ˈspiːt] and Sun Decade is an electronic dance producer and DJ from Bautzen, Germany.
Cosmic Gate is a German DJ duo consisting of trance music producers Claus Terhoeven and Stefan Bossems. Both hail from Krefeld, Germany.
Ingo Kunzi is a German trance producer and DJ, best known for his work under his recording names Ayla and Tandu. The Ayla name was inspired by the name of a girl in the recording studio during his first Ayla recording. Kunzi is also related to other projects including Karuma, Elastique Culture, Tarot and Intrance.
Daniel Kandi is a Danish trance producer and DJ currently living in Aalborg. Kandi entered the trance scene with the release of "Breathe" in 2006, on the successful Anjunabeats label. In 2010, he was ranked #77 in DJ Magazine's Top 100 DJ Poll. He is also an amateur snooker player.
Jezper Söderlund, better known by his main stage name Airbase, is a Swedish record producer and electronic music artist. His experimentation with electronic music began in 1994 after he was introduced to a digital sequencer application called Scream Tracker. Since 2004, he's been using Ableton Live as his sequencer of choice and he's also known for posting HD tutorials on YouTube with various tips and tricks on how to make the most of Ableton Live.
"Downtown Boys" is a song by Danish duo Infernal. It was released on April 14, 2008 as the lead single from the album Electric Cabaret. The duo performed the new song on Boogie Prisen, a Danish award show on April 12, 2008. The song became available for download and was sent to radio stations on April 14. The song gained platinum certification in Denmark, based on digital downloads only, on July 9, 2008. It was Infernal's first single to reach #1 at the Danish Airplay Chart, and remained on top for four weeks. "Downtown Boys" was the ninth most played song on Danish radio stations in 2008.
"Battleship Grey" is a song by Dutch DJ and producer DJ Tiësto with vocals from English singer Kirsty Hawkshaw. It was released on in 2001 as a promotional single. It appeared on Tiësto's first album, In My Memory and on Hawkshaw's album, Meta Message. Danish duo Miro created a chill-out remix which received great acclaim, and led to the release of the promotionnal single. Only 300 copies were released through Nebula Records, and 100 in other labels.
"Whenever You Need Me" is a song by Danish pop duo Infernal. It was released on 4 August 2008 as the second single from the album Electric Cabaret. A 2-minute preview of the song was released on 1 August 2008 for members of their website and soon after was sent to radios across Denmark. The song peaked at #2 on the Danish Airplay Chart, and was certified gold based on digital download sales in Denmark.
Simon Neale, known by his stage names Shadow Child and Dave Spoon, is an English radio DJ and dance music producer. He's also part of the duo Avec alongside Doorly. He was part of the line-up on BBC Radio 1's "In New DJs We Trust" feature, which ran from Thursday night to Friday morning at 2 am to 4 am. The DJ has become notable for his hits, "Bad Girl " with Lisa Maffia and "Baditude" with Sam Obernik. His first release as Shadow Child was on Dirtybird Records in March 2012, and he's since formed his own record label, Food Music, alongside Lewis of Kry Wolf. Simon has a show on Rinse FM from 9 am to 1 pm every Wednesday evening as Shadow Child.
"Played-A-Live " is a song by Danish percussion duo Safri Duo. It was released in 2000 as the lead single from their first mainstream studio album, Episode II. The Michael Parsberg-produced song, which has a mix of tribal drums with electronic music twists, sold 1.5 million copies worldwide and became the fourth-fastest-selling single ever in Europe. The single topped the Danish Singles Chart. Outside Denmark, the single also topped the Swiss Singles Chart and peaked at number two in the Netherlands, Germany, and Belgium. It reached number six in the United Kingdom and number seven on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs chart in the United States.
"Your Crown" is a song by the Danish dance-pop duo Infernal. It features the Danish singer and actress Xenia Lach-Nielsen, and was released as the fifth single from Infernal's debut album, Infernal Affairs, in 1999. The song is written by the German songwriter Nosie Katzmann, and it is the only Infernal single ever to feature a different female lead vocalist than Lina Rafn. It peaked at No. 2 on the Danish Airplay Chart, making it the most successful single from the album in terms of airplay.
Klaas Gerling, simply known as Klaas, is a German DJ and producer from Cologne, Germany. Klaas worked under the label Scream & Shout. He has remixed songs for Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike (2016), DJ Antoine, Stromae, Armand Van Helden and Eric Morillo. He is best known for his remix of "Infinity" by Guru Josh, which topped the Belgian chart and peaked at number two on the Dutch chart in 2008. Producing Infinity 2008 resulted in Gold, Silver, Platinum records in a number of countries and over 100 million views on the official YouTube video. His own release "Our Own Way" reached the top 10 in France in 2009.
"Helele" is a Zulu language song by South African singer Velile Mchunu and Danish percussion duo Safri Duo. It was released on 7 May 2010 as the only new single from Safri Duo's Greatest Hits album. The song was the official trailer song for the 2010 FIFA World Cup broadcast on German television channel RTL and Switzerland's Schweizer Fernsehen and Télévision Suisse Romande in June–July. "Helele" is based on the 1971 song "Aieaoa" by French producer Daniel Vangarde and Belgian producer Jean Kluger in the group Yamasuki. It was famously covered by Belgian group Black Blood in 1975 and English girl group Bananarama in 1981. "Helele" peaked at number one in Switzerland, number two in Germany and number eight in Austria.
"Sweet Freedom" is a song by Michael McDonald, and his last Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The single's music video featured McDonald, along with actors Billy Crystal and Gregory Hines, in the film Running Scared.
Discolized is the debut album from the Danish house DJ and producer Kato in collaboration with a number of DJs and vocal artists. The album was co-produced by Kato and Ahmad Darwich. Discolized was released on 1 March 2010 reaching No. 6 on the Danish Albums Chart. The album was reissued on 4 April 2011 under the title Discolized 2.0 that includes new versions, remixes and singles "Sjus" and "Speakers On" on two CDs.
Pegboard Nerds is a Danish-Norwegian electronic music group, consisting of Norwegian DJ Alexander Odden and Danish DJ Michael Parsberg. The name Pegboard Nerds is an anagram of the duo's surnames, Odden and Parsberg. Odden and Parsberg first met in 2005 and formed the group in 2011. Previously, their records were released under separate projects and both have been producing since the 1990s.
